Looked lovely but sadly they wouldnât let us in as we had a pram. Definitely needs to be more accessible, I wonder if it would have been the same service for wheelchair users? Edit: itâs quite clear this place also doesnât take kindly to criticism by the comment below. Their comment is genuinely hilarious with the accusations and pure BS that they are spewing. You can see the same sort of responses to any negative review instead of apologising they just get rude angry and offensive. Accusing us of lying but their comments contradict themselves. first person I spoke to was lovely but she did not offer me the opportunity to book at all. We chose to come back off our own backs not because we were offered to. The second woman just seemed to usher us out we barely even came through the door. The restaurant was went to after here was lovely and accommodating and was quickly to move a table over to allow us to fit the pram which is what I call excellent customer service. Sadly this place doesnât offer that. Definitely wonât be removing my review as this place...
Read moreI came here for a spot of lunch on a total impulse, purely because it was somewhere I hadn't tried in Ripon yet.
The Yorkshire Tea Room is now firmly my favourite café in the city.

Secondly I was genuinely shocked at how amazing the quality of food was. I ordered an omelette with cheese, ham and mushrooms and it was honestly the best omelette I have ever had the pleasure to eat in my life. The portion size was perfect too, I was nicely full after eating.
In summary, if you haven't tried here, definitely give it a shot and if you've tried here before, definitely go again. An absolutely wonderful experience and a real...
Read moreIt's been quite a while since we have visited Ripon. The Yorkshire Tea Room came highly recommended. The recommendation was spot on. The YTR was busy. There were a number of reserved tables. The staff managed to fit us in. Clearly they are aware of timings etc. Despite being slotted in, we were not placed under any pressure whatsoever. The staff were attentive and efficient. Our orders were soon taken and drinks arrived swiftly. My grandson was well impressed with his hot chocolate. It had a mountain of cream and marshmallows. We chose the home made beef lasagne. It was very tasty indeed. The salad was crispy fresh. We had a relaxing lunch. The cost was very much in keeping with other similar outlets. The toilets were exceptionally clean. This being an area which many outlets fail miserably. I can only pass on the recommendation....
