I used to like this place, staff were sometimes very good and sometimes difficult to understand/ask questions to, and most of their drivers are weird, but the pizza was very likeable. Up until last year we were ordering almost twice a week from them.
Last year I was courteous when I could have left it as it was, we had to cancel an order when I learned 10 minutes after after ordering that my uncle had passed away and we naturally were going to the family. When we rang, the guy got angry at me for cancelling it and telling me it was a poor waste to do this. I told them the situation at which point it didn't seem to dawn on the guy, so he kept going on and on, so I had to be blunt and frank with him that while I understand it's not fair I could have let them come and find out the hard way no one would be at home, the bigger waste here is that we wanted to be with our family and he's talking to me about something I did my best to save them from and I just wanted interested in that moment about getting an earful and would happily resolve this at another point. The guy was very apologetic and understanding after that which was appreciated, but really it's not something that needs to be explained.
In the last 12+ months we must have ordered 5-6 times and we don't know if we're gonna get Jekyll or Hyde. Half the time they take the order and it's all fine and appreciated, we pay at the door etc and everyone's happy. The other half the time they kick up a fuss about payments, wanting credit card details over the phone first and so on (which judging by the other reviews isn't wise to share with these guys), and when pressed for this random behaviour they explain their HQ has us blacklisted. Really? Half the time it's not even a problem. They suddenly pay us for delivery charge and all sorts of little things they didn't used to before, and are frankly very rude and uninterested in the business. After explaining the same thing every time they kick up a fuss, they basically tell us to deal with HQ and it's not their problem.
I can deal with a consistent concern. I can't tolerate mixed signals and poor attitude when clearly it's not a consistent big deal to their employees. If they care about their customers they'll be reasonable. They'll look at the order history which they clearly have an account of and realise it's a one off problem and we'll happily consistently pay for good service and pay them back over long term business. If they don't want my business, well they've figured out how to mess with us in such a way that not only will I not order from them but I'll discourage anyone who considers it.

I recently had the misfortune of ordering from what was supposed to be the "Top Pizza" in town, and let me tell you, it was an experience I wish I could un-experience.
From the moment I walked in, the management was nowhere to be seen, and the staff seemed more interested in their personal conversations than attending to customers. I had to wait an absurd amount of time just to place my order, only to find out later that my order was completely misplaced.
When I finally managed to get someone's attention after what felt like an eternity, instead of an apology, all I got was a half-hearted shrug and a mumbled excuse. There was no attempt to rectify the situation or compensate for the error. The staff lacked any semblance of professionalism or courtesy; it was as if they were doing me a favor by acknowledging my existence.
To add insult to injury, when I finally received my pizza, it was clear it had been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long, making it a sad, soggy mess rather than the crispy, cheesy delight I was promised.
I've never felt so disregarded as a customer. The management clearly has no control over staff, and the staff themselves are either untrained or uncaring. This place has not only lost my business but has also made me question how it could ever be considered "Top Pizza" unless the criteria include "worst customer service" and "most misplaced orders."

Read moreMy experience at this establishment was shameful and undignified, apparently they give free slices of pizza to the homeless, the gentleman who took me to this place is homeless and watching what he was told was embarrassing...he was told to wait which is understandable as tge were busy with customers but after a some time the were no customer...but to watch how the staff ignored him with no eye contact as if he was not there, like he was not a human being who is in need, I found it inhumane and disgusting, qhen feeding someone if you choose to feed and give charity, then why ignore them like there not human who is struggling, I was very saddened by it all, I believe it started as a good thing but treat people with some dignity not like I witnessed where as he was a a burden, the gentleman has been through so much heart ache and now he's homeless and struggling with mental health. Luton has always had good sense of community and helping those less fortunate but Tops pizza on Wellington Street has realy let Luton down in the treatment of...
