Customer service was 2/5, the way the 2 waiters approached us wasn't exactly exactly the most welcoming and friendly service, felt like i was in the army.
We was sat on a very small table baring in mind the restaurant was empty, we could just about fit our plates on the table with the drinks, very tight. After we had our starter the was a bit of crumbs on the table due to some pastry we had for starters, they took the plates away, but didn't wipe the table clean, nor offered us a new set of cutlery.
The food..... Seeing it had 4.6 stars and was rated better than Miller and Carter down the road, I chose this place over it, food presentation was great, cooked really well too, the disappointment was in the taste, no flavour to the steak or chicken whatsoever, just bland, for those who like bland steak and chicken, this place is for you, for those who like a bit of flavour, bring your own seasoning.
I asked for some condiments, they were brought to me in small plastic take away cups, which to be fair to them Yes coronavirus is still around but if you can sanitise the menu's then you can sanitise the condiments too...... Or at least serve them in a more presentable dish.
I asked for the bill, waiter came and asked for the money before I even got it out, as if I was going to run away and not pay.... Felt a bit weird.
Maybe I've got high expectations, I'm not Gordon Ramsay but I love my food and I'll definitely be going for a nandos next time...
Read moreI visited this restaurant mistakenly thinking it was part of the well-known “Toros Steakhouse” chain with branches in Nottingham and Birmingham. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a poor imitation. As soon as we entered, we realised it wasn’t the same, but we felt pressured to sit down by someone who appeared to be the manager. Trusting the good reviews, we decided to give it a try, which turned out to be a big mistake.
The service was poor from the outset. We had to flag the waiter down to place our order, as they wouldn’t come to us. To their credit, the food arrived quickly, but that’s where the positives ended. The steak was easily the worst I’ve ever had—dry, completely flavourless, and as if it had been seasoned with water. The rack of ribs was equally terrible; I couldn’t bring myself to finish them and passed them to my partner, who didn’t want to finish them either. The only remotely decent part of the meal was the chips and the sauces (Diana and Stilton), which speaks volumes about the quality of the food overall.
To make matters worse, the waiter dropped cutlery on my partner’s top, leaving it stained and further ruining what was already a miserable experience. This restaurant is a disappointing imitation of the real “Toros Steakhouse”, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Honestly, I imagine you’d get a better steak in jail....
Read moreDisgraceful!!! Have to put 1 star otherwise could not post otherwise would be zero 1st night out with family in over a year, we were really looking forward to a lovely meal and catchup.... 1st issue, booking had not been logged so we didn't gave a table , took them 20 minutes to get sorted. 2nd issue, took them 3 attempts to get the drinks order correct...talk about watered down vodka....and flat pepsi, correct drinks arrived 45 minutes after we were sat at our table. 3rd issue, food order taken, 30 minutes later told half the food order was not available so had to reorder. 4th issue, the new food order came out 3 if 4 orders correct, the 4th order was wrong and when a complaint was made, we were told that the food ordered was not available, but we only found that out after we took a bite of the meal and complained. The rest of the food order 2 other meals never surfaced for another 45 minutes and only after multiple complaints, also sides did not turn up until the last two dishes arrived. By this time the other three meals had been eaten , the 4th meal was left as it was very dry and not very edible. The manager offered a 20% discount which we refused, eventually after taking the complaint downstairs we were able to just pay 30% however after the complete farse of the evening we would have preferred not to have...
