Tortilla Derby — Restaurant in England

PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE VEGETARIAN/VEGAN!!!

I've been here once before and the burrito was amazing! I came here again last Friday and had the absolute opposite experience.. I ordered beans, veggies, sour cream, cheese and medium hot sauce. After a few bites I bit something that had the consistency of chicken chunks. I thought it might be veggie chicken pieces so just took/spat those bits out cause I didn't want to risk it. Near the end I tasted something hard and spat it out... It was a bone ... I have never had this kind of experience from any other fast food chain and was absolutely disgusted. I even asked the person serving me if things were veggie and they said yes so it's even more of a pis*take. I will NEVER be going here again and will tell all my veggie friends to avoid.

Edit: omg completely forgot to add- one of the people serving me fished out what looked like a small chocolate bar shaped thing out of the refried beans pot (idk if it was plastic or smth) which I thought was weird but thought nothing really of...

No idea how they’re still open. Big fan of Tortilla so was excited to see them arrive in derby, but nothing but disappointment. Every delivery we’ve had has been incorrect , no exaggeration.. every single one… and even when you go to the store the staff are just completely useless. Such a shame, after giving them many many chances despite getting it wrong every time we’ll no longer even entertain the idea of ordering from here. The delivery we’ve just had, not only were the meats wrong in both our orders, but the rice was rock hard.. wasn’t anywhere near cooked and everything we said to leave out the orders was included and things we paid for as extras weren’t even in there ..

Absolutely terrible place, they need to...

So happy there's a Tortilla finally in Derby! Happy staff, reasonable prices and most importantly, great burritos. The service is fast but friendly. The burritos are delicious 🌯

Update after 2 years: I still love going here, the food is great but sometimes it's hit and miss with the friendliness of the staff (probably a high turnover of employees?) Anyway, the food is still good so I don't really mind.

Good selection of burritos, bowls, tacos. I would personally leave the tortilla chips as they are never that good and rather expensive for what they are. I would recommend the burritos most of all - these are still great, tasty, fresh...
