Worst evening having booked here. We had booked a table for 2 pax at 7pm through their online app around 5 pm the same day, but the confirmation never arrived. When we tried to book second time, the app prompted us we cannot book twice. Since, we were not allowed to book second time, we took our chances to walk in thinking the confirmation might have not been sent to us but the restaurant might have it. On reaching, we were asked about reservation confirmation which ofcourse we did not have it, so we were not offered a table. While we were on the way back to home we got the table reservation confirmation. Immediately we called up the restaurant asking whether they will hold our table till we reach as we received the confirmation now @7:17pm. The person in the restaurant who was answering our call confirmed that we can come and they will be holding our table. But to our surprise and utter dismay, when we reached at the restaurant, we had to waiting for quite some time till some body came to attend us (which we thought), but did not. Rather this person started attending guests who were waiting behind us in the queue completely ignoring us. When confronted, he responded that since we had come some time earlier where he had said us since we did not have reservation fo he could not offer table. He did not even bother to ask why we were there for 2nd time, and did not even bother to see our reservation confirmation. He was very rude and probably did not even bother to check with his colleagues that we had called earlier and they were holding our table!! For this kind of behavior of the waiters in the restaurant, I would never visit this restaurant irrespective of the food. Secondly, the online booking system is pathetic. Read moreIt is so sad to say this because we have always had such great food and service BUT! On Saturday 5th of October we ordered a full platter for collection, they were very busy and advised us it would be ready in 45 minutes (which was fine) I arrived and it was indeed absolutely heaving but they brought my bag out after a short wait. Seeing they were so busy I gave them £60 cash for the meal and told them to keep the change. After getting in the car I realised there was no bread or rice pudding so we went back, I politely asked a gentleman to resolve this and he said "you know we are out of bread" I was a little miffed but headed home without the bread. We got home and I opened the container to find no rice just the meat. I called and explained this to the manager on saturday who wanted to have the rice and bread sent out but I explained it would be too late as we had to eat now but I understand they are very busy so I will call back on Monday to come to an accessible resolution. On Monday I spoke with a gentleman who initially offered a free desert on my next order. I was not prepared to accept this as my £60 meal was ruined on saturday so he agreed to provide me with the same order again free of charge when I next ordered. Today I called and was told "I'm not giving you the whole meal when only the rice was missing" So there will be no more anniversary dinners family meals or takeaway from Turkish Kitchen, Peterborough in the future and I would urge others to do the same. Such a terrible shame.

We have been going to the Turkish kitchen for a few years now and always been wonderful but on the 3rd Feb 23 in the evening We had a meal for 4, as always everything was going smoothly and having a great time, food was dished out and mine seemed to have been forgotten and came out about 6-7 minutes after.
After no negativity I started eating to find my food was very cold, (the food was pre-made and possibly frozen then fridged for the next day) I then gave the food back stating it was cold, and 7-8 minutes later a new dish was presented to me, dug in to find once again it was cold!
By this point, I was very disappointed and stated I do not want anything else especially as the rest of the party had long eaten their meals and stated I did not want yet another. When the bill was presented to us it showed the total, not including the meal I was meant to have and no compensation.
Oh wait, we were given shots of pink vodka though 2 of us were driving...
To state, the waiter was lovely and apologetic but obviously the kitchen failings were not his fault.
Once asked to discount the meal for the awful service from the kitchen a woman came over and stated no discounts to be offered but we can have another round of drinks (which mind would have been about the cost of 20% discount anyway)
To add, as a pre-made meal - food standards website states- Reheating food It is very important to reheat food properly to kill harmful bacteria that may have grown since the food was cooked.
Reheating means cooking again, not just warming up. Always reheat food until it is steaming hot all the way through. You can only reheat your food once.
