Villa Toscana Ristorante — Restaurant in England

Where should I start.. Ate here last weekend honestly it felt rushed, before I'd even got a chance to look at the drinks menu they asked what we wanted to drink before I'd even taken my coat off. Then when the mains arrived they served everyone at my table and forgot my meal completely. They never even acknowledged that they forgot it or apologised they just asked what I had ordered and ran into the kitchen and I heard her shouting for it. An apology would have been nice as I had to watch everyone else eat. When it arrived the lettuce tasted like it hadn't been washed and some bits were bitter and wilted. When a member of staff was collecting cutlery between starter and main she whacked my shoulder really hard because she was rushing to do it. I found the staff to be very rude, no manners at all and no apologies,even asking to us to leave a good review is kind of tacky. Finally two of us asked to leave early and the woman calculated how much we owed towards our bill and tried to tell us we owed an extra £15 than what it actually was and told me my single liquor and coke was £8, she was adamant she was correct even though she wasn't. Honestly it was an all around bad experience for me, the whole place was too hot and too loud which I get the noise if they are busy but the heat was a bit too much for me. If you want nice service and a nice experience i'd recommend one of the many other restaurants..the food wasn't really anything...

Thursday, 28/12/2023 Once again a wonderful evening was had by my wife and I, a special 70th birthday for me. I cannot rate Villa Toscana highly enough, every aspect of service, staff and food are simply superb. The staff made my night sensational by surprising me with a rendition of happy birthday and a complimentary Limoncello Liqueur. Thank you guys, you are very special. Grazie!!

21 May 2022 What a wonderful experience at Villa Toscana, Southbourne, if you enjoy authentic Italian food then this is the restaurant for you. My "la Mia bella moglie" and I enjoyed a " Meraviglioso"evening here, all the staff were so friendly and, to be honest just so completely "stupendo". It was my lovely wife's, birthday celebrations which brought on a "Coro" of " Happy Birthday", sung by the very talented "Sol" it made our evening and my wife's birthday a total joy. Not forgetting the menu, it is totally second to non, not only well balanced but completely delicious and great value for money. May I say "Grazie Mille" to Sara and Tia especially for their very attentive and professional service. A big "Grazie" to all the staff and also the chef's, who work tirelessly to produce such "Meraviglioso" cibo...

I recently dined at Villa Toscana and was extremely disappointed with the behavior of the manager. While I understand it was a busy night, it is absolutely unacceptable for the manager to shout at the staff (although this was in the kitchen, you could hear her anger) , especially to the younger servers. At one point, I heard the manager loudly berating a young server from the kitchen, telling them they were "useless" and "a waste of time" This kind of treatment is completely unprofessional and made for a very uncomfortable dining experience. After the two younger servers (girls) left the kitchen after being shouted at I could tell she made them uncomfortable, made one of them feel emotional and also very under pressure, causing the workplace to not have a nice atmostphere. I had a mixed experience here at Villa Toscana the food overall was quite good and delicious, with many dishes standing out in terms of flavor and presentation. However, the pasta carbonara was a bit disappointing as it lacked much flavor. Despite this, I still want to praise the chefs for their hard work and the quality of the other dishes.
