Overall the new-look park is great. There is a lot to do, and great views of city. The community garden looks really good, and the concerts in the summer were amazing. It's great to hear so many birds singing in the city centre! There are some things they could do better however - Firstly, the cafe is only open on weekdays during term time. This is a terrible waste of tax payer/lottery money which was used to build these great facilities, only for them not to be used! If you have a good cafe, with friendly staff and a good range off food, then people will come. People need to spend more time outdoors getting exercise and socialising, especially in the winter. Even though Mum is in her 70's, we had a good time using the outdoor gym equipment! The cafe staff, park keepers and the community garden volunteers were all really friendly.
