Yokos Thai Food — Restaurant in England

My wife and I took my elderly father here for our first visit since moving to the area last year. (We used to live in Asia and often visited Thailand) We ordered an excellent selection of starters - which were really good authentic examples and portion sizes and decorations made them present really well (carved carrots were excellent).

The three of us ordered noodle variations / Pad Thai for mains - we were surprised that the table wasn't cleaned after the starters and we were to us the same cutlerly as our starters - seemed odd! We were all disappointed with the plate and portion size of the main courses - one of the dishes listed as 3 chilli's wasn't that spicy either - thankful of the chilli flakes that came to the table. Looking around we felt we should have ordered a curry that other tables were enjoying. For the price the noodle main dishes were a little lacking in our opinion but we'll be back to enjoy a curry...

We turned up on spec and were pleasantly surprised to get a table. We were advised they weren't licensed so went to Co-Op to get some drinks and returned a few minutes later.

The atmosphere was very good and the staff member who greeted us was very helpful and friendly.

We ordered starters which came out quickly and were absolutely fantastic.

Main courses arrived, my wife and I had pork and chicken stirfry. We were delighted with the meal. We were assaulted with so many flavours and tastes.

It has to be one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The atmosphere, the service and the food were superb.

We were also delighted the chef came out to briefly talk to us.

We had the most amazing anniversary dinner here at Yoko's, it's safe to say you will not be disappointed! From the most attentive and friendly staff to Yoko's delicious food it was simply incredible! The best Thai food we have had and also the most incredible story we could have stumbled across, you must visit to learn more about just how incredible Yoko's journey has been all the way from Thailand! It's completely authentic and Yoko has mastered the art of getting the portion sizes just right! A shout out to Melissa's excellent coconut rice too, it was sublime!
