If I could give 0 I would. I am absolutely appalled by the experience I had today, i am genuinely heartbroken.
My partner and I went in for our break at work (we also work in the food service industry) we ordered a vegan soy pepperoni pizza with mozzarella cheese. Collected our order with no issues then went to eat in on the bench outside.
We finished the pizza and as my partner went to bin the box, he told me, a vegetarian of eleven years, that the box said pepperoni not vegan pepperoni. At this point I was pretty anxious but we assumed this was a printing error, so popped back in to check, where they informed me that I had in fact eaten an animal.
At this point I had left the restaurant, distraught, sobbing, choking and gagging. I did not receive an apology from the member of staff who made this error, and instead tried to blame my partner by telling him he had ordered the wrong thing, he was stood right next to me and absolutely did not order the wrong item.
The manager offered us a free pizza and did give an apology but unfortunately a pizza simply does not make up for this horrific mistake that has now left me incredibly anxious regarding eating out.
As I said, I work in the industry and I understand mistakes do happen, but veganism/vegetarianism under the 2010 equality act fall under protected characteristics as a philosophical belief, and a mistake of this magnitude without an apology from the staff member who made it is simply unforgivable and...

The manager wasn't helpful at all, he offered to give me free cookies or garlic bread although i explained to him gluten was not an option. He didn't seem to understand the difference between gluten free and diary free- be careful! In the end he said he would refund the missing item not even bothering to redeliver...
Sadly there has still been no refund I have called to ask daily but aways responded with im to busy and il call you back in 30mins..
it's truly heart breaking that such a great franchise has fallen so far and being run by thieves with zero customer care 💔
