Taste of Bengal — Restaurant in Epsom and Ewell

If you like to go to a restaurant where the owners think it’s ok to knock (not pay) local suppliers this is the place to go. We are a local wholesaler that was trading with taste of Bengal for the last 8 years. After the pandemic although the management are the same, they decided to close their trading company and start a new one where they than thought it was ok not to pay their outstanding debts. When you spend your hard earned money in this establishment for the food and beverages that you are consuming, please ask the question whether this money is passed on to their suppliers who are in effect also serving yourselves. We are a family run business that was also effected badly by the pandemic and completely understand the companies that legitimately closed down. After coming to this restaurant for many years now & very satisfied with our visits I always recommend it to friends & family, I did just that a couple of weeks back to a friend who visited the restaurant with his wife & 2 kids. Nice cozy traditional style curry house with nice and polite staff and reasonable prices. Tikka starter,Tarka Dal and Aloo Gobi were decent enough, the samosas were very small but nice. The main dish 'Naga Chicken' was below average and didn't even have any fresh chilli's in it!! (which is the main point of the dish) The rice and nans were nice but very small portions.
