Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo, two of us went in just before 2pm and we were given a table and some menus. We went in originally just for a coffee, due to the complete lack of sit-down coffee shops on Sandiacre high street. We were prepared to fork out a pretty obscene amount of money on cakes too.
...Well, we would've had we actually been served and had our order taken. We'd waited around ten-fifteen minutes to be served, which was fair enough and didn't particularly bother us. What did bother us was the fact that they started serving a couple who came in after us, and with a far lower wait-time, seemingly because the waitress knew them already.
Come on, we were sitting there and looking around, waiting for our order. We're not in fifties America or the third Reich; being treated like second-class customers purely because we've not been before is really bad form.
In the end, we walked out. I can't give a comment on the coffee or the food, although I damn hope its quality reflects the prices, which aren't cheap. Good luck to any of our fellow underclass who wish to try this place...

The first one in May, we were there at 3:30 and barely got a drink out of the staff. The August bank holiday I called at 3 to see what time they closed and was informed at 4. *I appreciate the response, I do feel this could have been handled better as we HAD phoned and walked 30 minutes along the canal as it was Bank Holiday and Buonissima was our first stop for an evening of a few drinks. We would not have come down into Sandiacre that far if we had known we would have been turned away. I will change the stars because I do feel your establishment has great...
