First time to this pub, it was my granddaughters birthday party in the function room, the staff, customers were very friendly and nice, the interior was lovely, clean, bright and new, on entering the function room the size really but me how well designed it had been when the pub was built, it had a raised seating area, a bar, another raised long area for buffets, and a stage for a disco and a dance floor which measured 16ft x 20ft approximately, it was nicely lit, and had dance lighting too, on the whole it is a pub which I feel runs below the known pubs, but this place is ideal for parties, weddings, and wakes, there is a car park, street parking on a side street and at the front of the pub on the main road, there is also lots of outside seating for those summer nights, I give The...

I have been going to this pub for over 30 years so I have seen some changes, the present landlady had the garden area refurbished a few years ago and made it a great place to sit on a summers day with a pint.The pub is very fortunate to have 2 staff who are just the best ( the other guys are great also but these two in particular)Friendly efficient and attentive, always there to help. We hired the function room. The room is amazing. Clean nicely decorated. Lots of space. Bar was good, plenty of selection of drinks. We hired their resident dj. Great music, great energy, could not recommend more. We also bought buffet food. This is the reason for the reduction in stars. Looking back at what should have been on the buffet we ordered, there were things missing. Whilst there were lots of sandwiches, some of the other bits were lacking in number.
