BBs is like a family run, open plan Costa right at the heart of Fareham shopping centre. It's bright, its clean, the staff are quick and friendly and the muffins are excellent. You'll have to get in early for blueberry though because they're very popular and they only make 12 on a Saturday apparently. I can vouch for the apple and raspberry though if they've run out and my son practically inhaled the double choc one along with his hit chocolate drink. The coffee wasn't excellent but it was good, better than Costa and enjoyable. What I like about BBs (besides the muffins) is the atmosphere. There's the hubbub of foot traffic all around on a busy Saturday morning but because it's an open plan affair the noise is kind of muted. You can have a decent conversation without shouting and still feel like you have enough privacy to chat and the lighting is bright but not harsh. There's lots going on in the busy shopping centre - BBs sits at a 4 way crossroads so there's plenty to look at people watching. And there was no pressure to move when we had finished either, we sat and chatted for probably an hour before we moved. No hassle, no bother. I really like the place. This is a long standing pretty popular cafe in the middle of the shopping mall. It is always busy. The stalls are clean and the variety of coffees are pretty good. I bought a panini(limited options) and coffee. The sandwich was heated up quickly with little wait when I was there. The quality of the bacon and mozzarella panini was okay. I was charged about £1.45 more than the marked price which I realised only later(contactless payment)I didn't bother going back as it is a petty amount of money and partly my mistake for not ensuring the right charge was applied at the till. I forgot about this place! The most yummy apple and raspberry crumble muffin and delicious well balanced flat white. I could sit here all day😂 Plenty of seating ,lovely and clean in airy surroundings. What makes a place all the better is of course the friendly , and smiling staff.
