Utopia Desserts — Restaurant in Fareham

We went to sit in and eat our desserts here after we had dinner out nearby - the food is quite nice but the lengthy waiting time of about 45 minutes was absolutely terrible. I’m sure they prioritised the Just Eat and Uber deliveries first. It was very surprising though with the amount of staff they had working in there at the time that they were not able to serve quicker as a 45 minute wait is just not good enough. Paired with the fact that the fake suede seats were absolutely filthy and food stained (I felt like I was constantly sat on food) and the floor and tables were covered in food, we were not impressed. Just a tip - if you are going to serve food, do not purchase pale suede chairs that food can get stuck too and instead perhaps just get plastic ones…it would be much more hygienic! I’m also currently pregnant and the fact that they didn’t have any toilets in their cafe and were open until late after the shopping centre was shut was just terrible! So I had to go traipsing over to one of the restaurants/bars on the other side to see if I could use their toilet! I’m pretty sure it’s also illegal to serve food to eat on the premises and not have any toilet facilities. Based on this, I would not go back as I’m sure I could find a cleaner dessert parlour with...

So we have been trying to go here for a while....didn't realise they don't open till the afternoon.

First off, I'm not a dessert person. Not even a waffle person BUT my 9 year old daughter is. As a daddy daughter night out we headed for Ugopia.

First off the smell, there is nothing that's comes close to that fresh batter cooking smell, it draws you in. Friendly welcome, round a seat and we where off to the races. The menu is STACK with everything you can think of and more. Waffles Crapes Sundias Cookie dough Milk shakes Cakes Snacks and so much more.

Before I knew it I was in biscuff heaven. The waffle was crisp, light and fresh. Stacked with toppings and the soft serve OMG the soft serv with so thick, it was stiff ferm even after we had finished.

We had 2 Waffles to eat in, Cake to take away, and anothwr waffle for later, not even £30 spent!! Bargain.

The staff where friendly, welcoming and polite. 10 outta 10 will 100% be back.

Delicious crepes!! Attentive service! Didn't realise it's a family run business - their branding is so professionally done - I assumed they are part of a chain! Wow!

They seem to have a great variety of items on the menu. Crepes we had were absolutely delicious! I'm definitely coming back for more!!

One criticism is that it lacks a bit of an atmosphere. It's too "empty" decor wise. Just tables and chairs. Boxes for food packing are stored in the main dining area.. And the air was filled with a refrigerator noise?.. It's more of a practical "sit and eat" kind of place - rather than a dining experience in its own right.
