Disappointing Experience at Franco's - Overpriced and Underwhelming
I recently ordered takeaway from Franco's in Enniskillen, and unfortunately, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience from start to finish.
Firstly, the prices were shockingly high for takeaway food. Given the cost, I expected something far superior to what I received. The pasta tasted worse than something you'd buy in a supermarket and heat up in the microwave at homeβbland, overcooked, and lacking any real flavor. The pizza was just as unimpressive, with a dull, tasteless base and barely any seasoning. As for the seafood topping on the pizza, it was rubbery and completely lacking freshnessβan absolute letdown.
On top of the subpar food, I was made to wait long past the time my order was supposed to be ready. No one bothered to update me, offer a seat while I waited, or make me feel remotely welcomed. To add insult to injury, their apparent lack of communication meant they attempted to charge me twice for my order.
I can confidently say that I will never return to Franco's, and I will actively encourage friends and family to avoid them as well. For the price they charge, you'd expect a far higher standard of food and customer service. Sadly, they failed on...
Β Β Β Read moreWent out for a meal in Francos using the βEat out to help outβ government scheme as a worthy excuse. We had to book as this scheme is proving very popular and when we arrived the restaurant was busy but very quickly we were escorted to our table. Once again (have eaten in Francis a number of times) the service and food was excellent and what made the meal even better was the price we paid after deductions from the eat out to help out. We always eat in Francos three or four times a year and there is two reasons why it is only two or times: It is a little expensive to eat out here but boy is it worth it so we limit it to two or three times a year for cost reasons We want it to be for that special occasion and if you do something to often you can get to familiar with it and it is not as special
So well done Francos- the pressure the front of house chef was under was immense but he coped just brilliantly - we were seated over from him and it was fascinating watching...
Β Β Β Read moreNo atmosphere and overpriced. Made a booking a week in advance for dinner for a family of 5. On arrival we were walked by a waiter through the restaurant to the back, down a corridor and through doors to a large, empty, dark room for seating near 70 people - it looked like a room in a social club. I raised immediately that I don't want us to be here alone and asked for another table in the main restaurant. The waiter stated there were other people coming shortly and all would be okay. Mistakenly we trusted this advice; 10 other people came and that was it. So still 50+ empty seats in the large vacuous room. Food also was a problem: lots of menu items not available including several of the specials. The main issue with the food though was the very overpriced menu for what we thought was average food at best. Our bill for 2 adults and 3 teenage kids was over Β£220. Over all, felt ripped off with disappointing food and experience. There are much better options for dining...
