Mr Whippet’s Cafe — Restaurant in Folkestone and Hythe District

I spend a whole month in Sandgate and every other morning I enjoyed my morning coffee at Mr.Whippets, seeing the streets of this tranquill town come to live, soaking up some sunshine after a dip into the sea. Not only do Eva and Tom serve great coffee from custom handmade cups, we had many wonderful conversations and I even got some first-hand recommendations for art in Folkestone and London. We popped into Mr Whippet's on the off-chance, having been recommended another cafe in Sandgate which didn't have what we wanted. As we walked in we were greeted with a very friendly face who couldn't have been more helpful! We ordered 2 vegan cheeze sourdough toasties which were absolutely delicious! It seemed like a cafe for locals, with the owners taking the time to chat to their regular customers, but they didn't treat us any differently. Very very friendly, with a great vibe. Having embarked on a big walk from Capel Le Ferne this morning, I stopped in at this lovely little cafe to mark my turnaround point. Coffee was FANTASTIC - best one I've had in the 3 weeks this Aussie has been in the UK. They also serve lovely looking cakes and biscuits but am very glad I ordered bacon and two cheese sourdough toastie - absolutely delicious.
