A Perfect Breakfast Spot for Dog Lovers We had the pleasure of visiting Loaf in Folkestone, and it exceeded all expectations. We had the Bacon Ciabatta and Bagel which was tasty, fresh peppermint tea with real leaves and the coffee was top-notch too, perfectly brewed and a great complement to the meal. What makes Loaf even more special is how dog-friendly it is. They welcome dogs with open arms, providing a cozy atmosphere where your furry friend feels just as valued as you do. It’s such a relief to find a spot where you can relax and enjoy a meal without worrying about leaving your dog behind. Another highlight is the location—just a short walk from the beach. It’s the perfect spot to refuel after a morning stroll along the coast. 🐶 Follow @onix.inthewildx on instagram - for more dog friendly adventures!

Grabbed a bite to eat here on Sunday, ordered the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel and the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs bagel with a side of halloumi. For drinks we had the fresh grapefruit juice and hot chocolate. Should've stopped there but since it was the weekend we thought we'd treat ourselves to a slice of chocolate cake and lemon slice. The food was decent but we could've skipped the halloumi and the desserts, wasn't as good as we'd hoped. Whilst the staff were lovely, the service was slow, we weren't in a rush but the cafe wasn't particularly busy either. Nonetheless, we had a nice little lunch date.

It's ok. Pancakes are absolutely fine and the coffee is rich and smooth. Pricing is about right for that area and service was efficient. However, there's something about babies crying while small dogs bark at each other inside the restaurant that I don't like..can't think what...Also, I'm not a fan of the 'no plates' movement. I like toast/food on a plate. Happy that my pancakes were on a plate! It is for those reasons that I don't think I'll go back. Thanks all the same.

Just got coffee and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on toast. When food arrive, side salad was heavy dressed with balsamic vinegar. Didn’t think much as I was so hungry tucked in, food tasted strange as I put down on vinegar for start. Only in the end I noticed the bread was old with mould all over. I pointed out to waitress, she sed how sorry she was. I ask for another coffee as I still have bad taste in my mouth. 5 min later another waitress appear with large coffee in her hands, she was offering another gentleman opposite me, when he refused she just give it to me. Didn’t like large coffee as was too strong and too hot. They ask me pay from begging, if I knew food was like that definitely wouldn’t pay. Ps. Didn’t get my money back! Would I come here again? NO DEFINITELY NO Just recovering after my post operation, just hoping I won’t be...

Having frequented Loaf as my favourite place to breakfast, brunch and grab a coffee in the past 5 or so years I was absolutely gutted to visit for the first time since Covid and find it has completely changed.

The food is mostly made fresh but pre pacakged (even if sitting in plates aren't offered) and the old menu has been completely overhauled. I'm not sure if Covid has had this impact but the old menu was always freshly prepared and served so nicely!

So sad to say, I wouldn't come back again or recommend unless for a coffee- the coffee was lovely.

All for positive change but please bring back what Loaf was so famous for, its amazing food, particularly the avocado on toast with...
