When we talk to people about where we live and places to eat, we are proud to always mention Sotirios as one of Folkestone’s treasures.

Sotirios thoroughly deserves its reputation as one of the highest rated places to eat in Kent.

We have loved going to Sotirios for several years now and will continue to do so for years to come.

We tend to go for special occasions such as birthdays, valentines, and romantic date nights. If you mention when booking what the occasion is, they always do something to make your visit extra special.

The food is delicious - especially the main courses such as the Lamb Shank, the Vegetable Moussaka, and the Halibut. We always recommend Sotirios to people who are looking for fantastic food of a Greek, Mediterranean and British fusion cuisine.

The setting itself is a perfect ambience for what we look for in a nice restaurant. It’s well lit but still dim enough to be a relaxing and warm space. Very nicely decorated and laid out, and always very clean.

On top, for us, is the service. Sotirios is a family-run restaurant and you absolutely get that vibe in the best of ways from the moment you walk in. It’s co-owned by a father and two of his sons, who all work there and play various roles in combination with the rest of the team.

You’re usually greeted by Lucas or Alex - sons of the founder, Costas. If you’re not, you will definitely meet them during your visit as they clearly make a point to greet and check in on everybody. Costas also joins the front of house team and waits tables which, for me, completes the family-run vibe.

Beautiful food beautiful staff and service . Been to sotirios twice and I have never been disappointed . Cocktails are just delicious well made . Staff relaxed and food always served hot No complaints Given a chance I will be visiting this restaurant again . Sotirios is a must to go to and what a wonderful atmosphere Thank you sotirios

I got a chance to go to sotirios to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday last night on the 5th march ( her birthday is today the 6th march ) What a fantastic night sotirios what can I say but a massive thank you for everything and fitting us in at such short notice amazing . You catered for 18 people promptly , hot delicious food from the events menu polite friendly staff who did you so proud your son's were amazing attentive , on point with the service and all that was involved in making my daughter's birthday as special as you possibly could . Meeting the owner was a bonus what a lovely man you are Mr sotirios which was a special touch . You are very lucky you have the staff you and the chef with the food mwah taste buds were tingling cheese cake a favourite all round . Cocktails wow beautiful

Four out of five may seem a little harsh, but one star was taken off for the sheer noise within the restaurant, a party one end and so it was difficult to hear our own table at times. However this said, would I return... Without a doubt. One of the best meals I've had in a long time and the other five family members all agreed. The host / owner was quality, very tongue n cheek without stepping over the line and we had some great banter with him. The servers were on point throughout always there when you looked for them and everything was done with a smile and a laugh. Perfect banter throughout from the two male servers with some great one liners really made us feel at home. Perfect wait times between meals, asking if we required drinks at the right time and everyone was always there, but not in a way that was intrusive. The food was absolute sheer quality, just not enough room in my stomach to try everything, although I had nabbed a bit of everyone's food around the table to try... (Be rude not to) :) Definitely a 'feel good' factor being in the restaurant and the servers just added that extra dimension to it, they were just phenomenal. What was a nice touch was the 'complimentary' liquor given to us after the meal and as one of the party didn't drink, he wasn't left out and offered a beverage of his choice.
