Ordered through an app and was quoted 45-60 mins. Later received order confirmation and delivery time of 1hr 25 mins. Being valentines night and the fact we have been regulars of this take a way we were ok with this. However we were left bitterly disappointed with cold food arriving 2 hours later. We repeatedly tried to call the restaurant to no avail. The following day I managed to call and spk to a manager who explained the delivery driver was sacked as she didn't know where she was going and had messed up. He then offered to take the total of the bill off my next order . I was happy with this until I tried to take them up on the offer today. Where the offer was dropped to 25% off when challenged they became verbally aggressive so I requested a refund of the original order having quoted the managers open honesty and acknowledgement they messed up from Thurs conversation and was told No and he kept shouting tough down the phone!!! We are now a lost customer and I would advise you select pay on arrival and ensure food is edible as their follow up customer service leaves a...
Read moreWe ordered the meal for two, what a disappointment. The pieces of chicken in the dishes were huge and obviously from the same slab of pre processed pressed chicken that was in all chicken dishes, when I say huge I mean huge and I would have cut them 3 bits if not 4. It is basically precooked chicken chucked in a sauce so the meat does not absorb the flavours in any shape or form.
The naan was thick and undercooked so soggy dough really. The potato dish also had huge bits of potato and in a really greasy sauce. There is no finesse and no real love and respect for the food, we may as well have gone and got a supermarket takeaway, it would have been better. Shame that so many people think the food is so good. Coppers of Hythe will give you an idea of what Indian food should taste like - I am nothing to do with them and not on any sort...
Read moreHad to wait 1 hour and a half when I was advised it would be an hour. Food finally arrived but was cold and my keema naan had no meat inside! I called them to send out a new keema with meat and the guy said it would be 2x hours, even though I just spent £55. Drove to them and gave them back the peice of bread and they tell me they’re really busy with drivers everywhere but none that could pop 3 minutes down the road. Then he tried to give me 3x poppadoms to make up for the shambles they call ‘good service’. I told him not to bother as I have 50 poppadoms at home which my family and I ordered and further explained that my family is at home eating a cold dinner without me to which his response was a smile. Appalling take away service with terrible food. Go to the Clay Ovan, swerve this place...
