So grateful to Natalie and her team for letting us hold our joint 60th birthday party at Café on the Hill on a Saturday night for approx 40 people. All our non local guests were saying what an amazing venue it is and how lucky we are to have it on our doorstep. The locals already knew that. At night it’s lit up inside with hundreds of fairy lights, very pretty and we were allowed to put up our own party decorations and do our own food. Natalie was very helpful organising a licence extension, staff to man the bar (a big thank you to Hannah and Glen, the cocktail maker) and a gorgeous carrot cake from her cake supplier for our birthday cake. She also had various options for food before we decided to do our own. The garden room out the back was the ideal spot for our silent disco. A great night was had by all, thank you Natalie, Glen and Hannah.

Absolutely amazing on our first visit Highly recommended. One downside, as you know disabled access is a key area to my reviews. Unfortunately, there is a step into the cafe. The owners did say they are looking at getting a ramp for wheelchairs, I've still given it full marks due to the outstanding quality off food. It's just one step. I know that's impossible for some, but if you can manage the step, then it's honestly worth the effort. So, unfortunately, at the moment, it's a zero for access. As I've just mentioned, the food is amazing. Check out my photo of the menus. The welcome and service was also great. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with a great conservatory and garden to the rear. I loved this cafe shame about access, but that may change in the future, hopefully. Will definitely revisit soon.

Third visit to this great Cafe, but first to collect takeaway as part of their Friday night food pop-ups. Atmosphere was warm and buzzing with diners, and enjoyed a refreshing beer whilst waiting. The food was AMAZING and good value, top work Thai Zabb by Ging, who ran the kitchen. The Cafe's drinks selection is fabulous by any standards but for a semi rural cafe, it's incredible.

We went on a Sunday lunchtime and were disappointed. The food was ok but orders were wrong. Our non-dairy coffees were made with milk, my husband wasn't sure his meal was on sourdough (it was really foamy) and he was missing a poached egg. Both times we went up to the till and staff apologised. They replaced the coffee but we had to chase for the egg - we'd finished the meal by the time it was sent out. Staff said they had a new till and it had not gone through, and that they had been busy dealing with other orders which is why it had been delayed. I didn't really think that a 10 minute wait for a missing part of a meal was good enough, but hey-ho. The piles of washing up behind the counter made me wonder if they were just a bit...
