Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Gateshead

Had a very poor experience today usually the staff are nothing but helpful and friendly! I went around 11.30am today greeted by a lovely gentleman who opened the door for me then went to the counter to be greeted by two staff who looked like they had better things to do i asked for a Terry's orange hot choc for them both to snap at me there is none there's a sign! I mean this sign was tiny as I had my mask on i didn't have my glasses on! I said il be two seconds to check what my friend wanted in replace to then go back in again lovely gentleman opening the door to them both still doing something so I placed my order no acknowledgment until maybe 2 mins after the man asked if it was a medium no thankyou or pleasantries at all appalling whens its probably my only bit of normality during this awful time and also didn't ask if cream was wanted? Very shocked as my previous visits...

Perfectly fine as long as you’re not expecting there to be any vegan options. This must be the unluckiest shop in the country given the amount of times that the items they order never seem to turn up. The new plant based milk they started using recently is absolutely vile. They used to use Alpro so I guess this was a cost cutting option

But if you don’t care where your food comes from then you can give it 5 stars.

I gave it two because the staff are nice enough...

Very disrespectful we bought coffee me and my partner and we went sitting outside in the seating area for some fresh air. Suddenly one of the staff came out and started brushing the floors right next to us while we were still sitting enjoying our coffee my partner has asthma and the smallest amount of dust can cause him breathing problems so we had to leave👎👎👎 so...
