Monsun — Restaurant in Gateshead

2 and a half hours to have a starter and a main. Waited 1 and a half hours for our onion bajhi and chicken chaat starter. Half an hour wait for some drinks. some of the chicken on the starter and main was hard. Had to change our 1 year olds nappy on the floor of a cold and dirty toilet as no change facilities. This is where they suggested we changed it. Rice had very hard bits of rice in it. Don't know if it was old stale reheated rice or some not cooked rice mixed in with the cooked rice. Chicken was cold to touch but sauce piping hot. They apologised took it away and brought it back out 1 minute later. sauce even hotter and chicken luke warm. obviously a quick microwave job. Out of the 7 of us the two who ate that one have been ill since. used to love this place years ago and were regulars when we lived more local. Seriously gone down hill now though....

Don't bother ordering online via monsuns online website and downloading the ap! So having spent £32 on a takeaway with specific instructions on the vegetarian order.......it arrives coupled up with meat products! Spoke to monsun who "refuse to give free food".....and take no liability for food ordered on their website and the app they clearly advertise. Apparently the website which states order online.....is not direct to monsun .....stupid me! The notes to chef have been ignored and I am £32 out of pocket! Absolutely terrible customer service, don't bother as monsun take no responsibility! Apparently if I order again there is a unique number to each customer' and it would be on 'the house' but I asked if they could redeliver the correct order tonight but apparently they don't give free food????? Go...

called in with the family for food on Sat night. only waited for the table for ten mins was happy to wait ordered the food and I ordered the veg curry with steamed rice when the food came i felt embarrassed to be served so called vegetable curry had no taste and the steamed rice was the cheapest rice they could get the rice was poor quality.

left half of the food as it was the worst Indian food I've tasted. I've eatting in all the restaurant's all over India and never had a bad curry. but come to your restaurant and call it a Indian meal was a bit of a laugh.

not sure who the chef is as he needs to be sacked. he must not care about food if he did then he wouldn't give out such poor meals also small portions very expensive price if I was the owner I would be embarrassed sorry have...
