Normally have a good experience at this bar. However, booked a table over the phone with a dietary requirement. When we got there, the venue had run out of the only thing on the menu I could eat. Fair enough- it happens. However the waiting staff incredibly unhelpful, offered me half a meal for the same price, no initiative to think about what else they could offer, no offer to comp drinks. Gormless teenage waitress just shrugged when I pointed out that the weekday menu had a number of alternatives surely they could pull something out of the freezer. Had the temerity to say I should have mentioned it….. errr, that’s why I phoned! Disappointing and not up to usual standard. Probably related to difficulty venues have in securing experienced staff. The Bank has the winning combination. Great decor, cocktails, food menu and an even better service. The last time I was in Low Fell was around 20 years ago when you had a free fight with every pint. Low Fell has changed so so much. Popped into this bar and had absolutely fantastic time. Sat down at a table and was served beer, cocktails and great food and then sat back and listened to two guys singing great motown music. The staff came around later with free food as they were testing their new Indian menu. Oh my god. Heaven is now relocated to Low Fell. High quality cocktail bar that’s sadly too small, tries to do food and doesn’t utilise space properly. The drinks and the atmosphere are great but the layout of the place leaves a little to be desired. There’s a porch like area that the venue doesn’t own, so there’s no beer garden, and as a result the place is crammed to the teeth with no place for standing punters to place their drinks and the people at the back with seats have to navigate all the way through the que to get a drink, all in it’s fine if there’s no one in.
