Greggs — Restaurant in Gateshead

Food cold, no vegan sausage rolls or any other vegan options, when asked if any was being cooked or possibly availability staff just shrugged their shoulders and continued their personal conversation, no offer of any milk other than semi skimmed and after long discussions between staff members finally decided decaf coffee was available as milk free option, fortunately we noticed that two decaf coffee bags was in the one cup before it became too strong, coffee was also tepid at best, wouldn't recommend a visit to this branch of greggs, poor offering from greggs franchise especially with lack of milk free alternative options, big thumbs...

This was a surprise. I have enjoyed dozens and dozens of great breakfasts up and down the country at Greggs. I love them. But on Sunday morning I was disappointed. Staff serving me grumpy and short, not like the usual welcome. The bacon in the roll was horrible. Old and overcooked to a crisp. Something I have eaten in the USA many times, but not what I expect in a Bacon Roll from Greggs. It wont stop me going to Greggs, I am sure this was an aberration, but say is you find...

Always call here when coming back from Newcastle. I know its a bit more expensive than ones in local shopping streets but this one is just more convenient to be honest. I've always had excellent service, a smile and that typical geordie welcome. It's just through the main door, to the left so really convenient and has never been too busy. Any complaints? No other than I always have to sit in the Costa seating so not sure whether thats allowed however I've never been...
