I went here with my partner who is is a celiac, I asked the waitress twice if the items on the menu with a g meant they were gluten free or meant they contained gluten she said they were gluten free, I asked if she was sure she said she was but she would check , she came out with our order so I presumed she had checked and they indeed were gluten free , but indeed they were not as a couple of hours later my partner was ill has to go to bed and vomited 4 times, his lovely day off ruined , not to mention paying good money to be made ill , I was so annoyed I wrote a private message to Little grandma's cafe stressing the importance of the staff being fully trained and being aware of food intolerances , it says on the bottom of the menu if you have an intolerance or allergy speak to staff which is what we did ! As I said I wrote to them and I got a message back saying management would be in touch I am still waiting , I wrote again saying I am still awaiting a response haven't read it until today when I left another message stating that they obviously don't care about the wellbeing of there customers !! I find this extremely bad customer service not to mention dangerous that there staff do not understand the importance of being sure your serving someone the correct food but to me the buck stops with the management to make sure there fully trained ,but there no response to my messages...
Read moreIt's a shame as I really wanted to like this place, the cakes and food looked delicious on adds posted on Facebook (which is what made us want to try it) along with the good feedback in comments, but we were disappointed, no food been served (maybe we turned up abit late) fair enough sat down for cakes and drinks, I seen as we entered tables outside dirty, thinking oh maybe they're busy or had a busy spell or had forgotten about the outside tables, but I noticed that even inside the tables were the same not wiped down, although I did notice them been cleared away (plates and cups etc) there was not one wipe of any single table the whole time we were there no matter how many tables were cleared and it wasn't busy and hadn't been busy the whole time we were in there, cakes were okay but don't reflect the price tag! drinks again cans (barr cream soda price price marked at 59p.. i think, no more than 70p) must of been more or the prices of their cakes, tea and smoothies are steep either way no prices shown on most things, staff weren't the most helpful and waited ages for our cakes! One cake missing so had to go up and ask about it (we did end up changing it and they did kindly make up a cake that wasnt on the shelves, which i did appreciate) but we sadly won't...
Read moreIt's a shame, me and my partner came here months ago and was lovely, we came three weeks ago, it took 20 mins for the staff to take our drinks and order after they'd served 3/4 tables who came in after we arrive, however the food was lovely and thought maybe the long wait was a one off. However we decided to come along again this morning, we got seated, and after half an hour of waiting we hadn't even been asked for drinks never mind food, we where sat patiently waiting with our baby while they where serving other tables who came in after us, very big shame. Me and my partner had to leave because it had been that long. We thought the first time might've been a one off but a second time the exact same happened with an even...
