Many years since I last visited a pizza hut but at the request of her 9 year old and her friend we visited the metro centre branch.
There is a new way of ordering which is done in the form of via an app or at a kiosk. Staff explained they are on hand to help if needed.
Both kids got the buffet option which included refillable soft drinks, all you can eat salad bar and pizza / pasta buffet.
I ordered the refillable drink, all you can eat salad bar and a vegetable flatbread.
Drinks were fine, salad bar all appeared fresh, well stocked and what you would expect.
Girls seemed to enjoy the pizza and pasta, there was a good choice of pizzas and 2 different pastas.
The stand out was the flatbread, I didn't have high expectations but it was very very nice, crisp, fresh, and tasty. Balsamic dressing and fresh rocket. We often visit pizza express and I pick the Leggera....I prefer the flatbread from pizza hut and the cost is less.
For 3, 2 children, 1 adult for all you can eat salad, all you can drink soft drinks and pizza it cost less than £30!
The restaurant itself started to get busy around 1215 with a queue outside. And the toilets could do with a refurb but the food was great.
If you haven't visited recently I recommend you...
Read moreIve eaten here several times but after this visit wont be back. I really dislike that you now cannot order without using their app, no cash taken at all. The staff seat you, appear with your food when you've ordered on the app and you dont see them apart from that. No friendly customer service, no check backs and what feels like bare minimum effort. On this occasion, the food was also mediocre at best. At 5.95 for cheesy garlic bread, we received greasy, cold french stick style slices with a ration on cheese. I did complain, and was offered a replacement but i had almost finished my pizza by the time a staff member walked past so didnt want it by then. The condiment choices were poor, but my friend did ask for mayonnaise and was brought one of the salad bar bowls with a dollop of what was obviously the cheapest catering mayo. It was white, and flavourless. The restaurant felt soulless, hollow and no one seemed overjoyed to be there. Very disappointing from a big name...

This Pizza Hut has been around since the 90s—and honestly, so has the pizza. The buffet selection was poor, with a noticeable wait between pizzas being brought out. If you’re expecting a quick and varied buffet experience, you’ll be disappointed.
The one redeeming feature was the goat’s cheese flatbread—served on a stylish slate platter and actually quite tasty. A rare bright spot in an otherwise uninspired meal.
The ice cream was dreadful: more like watered-down milk than proper soft serve, topped with a few scattered sweets that didn’t help much.
The ordering system is another letdown—you’re forced to scan a QR code and order through their site, which feels like a throwback to mid-lockdown days. Not exactly the relaxed dine-in experience you’d hope for.
Overall, it feels like this location is coasting on nostalgia. Needs a serious refresh—both in food...
