Today we visited Sambuca, Gateshead, Newcastle, we approached the bar ask for a table, bar tender was busy dealing with an order, she eye contact with a few times without saying anything; we waited 5 minutes before bar staff asking us if we wanted a table, we asked for a table. On the bar counter I noticed that the fruits being used for clients drink weren't fresh and had been their for some time. We gave them a benefit of doubt and orded drinks before being seated on our table, shortly after our drinks came in well decorated wine type glasses however the fruits looked the same as the ones on the counter they were not fresh, the glass itself was dirty and had stains. We wanted to order pizza however that was also a long wait, only after 30 minutes the waiter approached our table to ask if we wanted any food. By that time we were already dissatisfied with their customer service and hygiene level, so we advised the waiter that we were no longer interested in ordering any food, the waiter looked at as and in an arrogant manner said "okay then" as rushed to another table, rushed so fast that he dropped his ordering booklet, which I then handed to him when leaving Sambuca. Would I and my family go there again? I doubt it, go there at your own risk.

We have been going to Sambuca Trinity Square for Sunday lunch for a few years now, it's the best Sunday roast we've had. We decided we wanted to try the Italian menu, wow when we thought the food could not get any better we were blown away by the beautiful food we had the pasta, calzone, and spicy burger, all three meals were beautifully cooked and tasted so good, and the homemade cheesecake desert was honestly the best we have ever tasted, we were brought complementary sambuca shots at the end of the meal which topped a great afternoon experience. We would like to thank all the staff at Sambuca for going above and beyond for making our visit so pleasurable every time we go you are all such an inspiration and such a credit to Sambuca. Can't wait for our next visit

I went for a family meal with my mother and partner. We were seated by a friendly waiter straight away. A lady politely came to take our drinks order, we decided to take the carvery option that they have available on a Sunday. This was the best decision we made, was very reasonably priced for what they offer( see photos) I have been to many carvery's and by far Sambuca Trinity Square comes top of the list. The food was out of this world and that's no exaggeration, they had delicious sausages and pork crackling to add to your dinner at no extra cost, Sambuca carvery comes literally on par with a 5-star restaurant. Thank you Sambuca and the team I will most definitely be returning.

Middle of the road local run chain .... Food was ok but nothing to shout home about the starter of Bruscheta I had was piled high with salad which wasn't a bad thing and my main of garlic Kiev was nice ... Side plate of veg could have done with some more seasoning and the mash could have done with being put through a ricer .... Pasta dish that my wife had with the chorizo sausage was lovely ...Staff were friendly, polite and great service but the atmosphere was dead for a Friday night .... I wouldn't go back here again but it's only because we don't live in Gateshead so wouldn't find ourselves at that place often

Sambuca Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for a delicious meal and a great dining experience. The food is incredible, thanks to chef Hawkar's mastery of his craft. The burger is particularly noteworthy, but every dish on the menu is sure to please. The service is also impeccable, with host Nali going out of his way to ensure that every diner has a memorable experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. I highly recommend Sambuca Restaurant to anyone looking for a truly special dining experience.
