I had enjoyed the Ale Taster as it was.

On recommendation went this evening.

The decore has changed somewhat it may have been a mistake removing wall bench seats.

There were only two real ales on Doom Bar and White Rat I had the latter which was good.

The service was very poor. I waited circa 10 minutes on my watch before I was served. Two couple came in after me and left without being served.

It was busy the staff were it appeared over whelmed. There were three staff serving initially but one went on glass cleaning duty. The staff did not rotate in that they stayed at the middle and the far end and serving customers out of turn. This may be a training issue.

I was subsequently served and not with a smile after pointing out to a member of staff that my end of the bar was being ignored and that customers had left as a result.

visited last Friday. very impressed .you know it's a decent clean pub when you go to the ladies and think wow sparkling immaculate. just hope the ladies respect them .lovley friendly lass behind the bar made you feel real welcome. defo be bk . didn't Evan check out the beer garden just read it's got one .bring on the summer think I might have found...

Spent my third NYE at the Aletaster with friends up from Nottingham. The rock covers band was okay, bar service was slow but the cask ales available were terrible. Ended up drinking bottles and shorts to get away from the awful beer! Things have definitely gone down hill at this pub. Not recommended...
