ReFresh Cafe — Restaurant in Gedling

Absolutely disgusted in the customer service given today when visiting Refresh cafe in Arnold. I’ve visited this cafe a few times before and have enjoyed thier breakfast menu but after today I will never go again!!

Me and my friend ordered a coffee, panini and a jacket potato for our 6 year old girls. Firstly our latee came out with with lumps on top, which we thought might of been curdled milk, when the lady came out with food we asked if we could leave the coffee and have a refund which the server agreed and said she understood why.. Then in my daughters jacket potato I noticed what looks like curly hair running threw the beans, when the boss came out with the rest of the food she asked what was wrong with the coffee which I explained and showed her my daughter jacket potato which she replied ‘that’s not hair, that’s from the cleaning scourer’ I told her I can’t give that my daughter and before I could ask for something else instead she’s picked up all the food, and said ‘I will give you a refund for everything, can you leave’

I can understand if we was rude about the situation, but we wasn’t. Even tho the panini barely had any cheese and onion on, we was hungry and was happy to eat it but didn’t have a choice as she took all the food away. My friend didn’t even have chance to look at hers and her daughters food before she rudely took the food and asked us to leave!

When she came out with the money, I asked her why she’s took all the food and what she was implying… her response was ‘I’ve had customers all morning and no complaints, here’s your refund and just leave’ i took a picture of the coffee, I told her she was very rude, and I will be leaving a review to warn others and left!

I won’t be going back there and advise others to avoid! I just don’t understand why she was so rude over her own mistake, she could of easily replaced the food but instead gave us a refund we didn’t ask for.. in hindsight It was probably best we was given a refund instead of becoming sick...

Really good prices. I had a large coffee, cold drink, cooked breakfast and pancake with ice cream, it came up to £8. They dont even do pancakes but I asked and the lady was more than happy to make some for my daughter. I think its the little things that makes this place so great, my daughters pancakes had syrup and whipped cream, presentation was great too! Theyre really polite and honestly think we need to support local businesses like this rather than wetherspoons and other chains! I agree with the previous poster that this is by far the worst breakfast I have ever had. We stayed in Arnold overnight and my girlfriend and I were looking forwards to a small breakfast and mega breakfast. Everything except the eggs were stone cold, despite being cooked, which tells me that they don't cook to order but pre-cook the night before.

If you can't cook a breakfast to order at a cafe, you shouldn't be in business... Re:Fresh, it wasn't even Re:Heated correctly. Cheap and cheerful at...
