116 Lounge & Bar — Restaurant in Great Britain

It was my friends birthday over the weekend and she said so many good things to us about this restaurant and its owners but unfortunately this is not what i witnessed the customer service was ridiculous. My friend had invited us for 2pm which she had spoken to the owners prior and agreed food would be ready by 3. [ ] On arrival the restaurant was closed & the decorator for my friends burthday had started sorting things outside as she had been told the venue would be open at 12 for her to do her deco! [ ] They arrived at 1420 to start cooking and nothing was ready by 3pm as agreed. [ ] The kitchen was serving food to children without speaking to adults then come to ask birthday girl for payments disputes in front of her guests in an aggressive manner as if she had refused to pay [ ] When the food was coming out we were served by a man who smelt of weed and looked rather unkept in his daily clothes as of hes just come from the streets! “No offence” just an honest review as a customer as i expected to see staff in uniform [ ] Some guests on arrival were moved as they arrived because it was assumed they were not going to spend or buy anything which i felt was tude and unlrofessional. This entire experience was dissapointing and from what my friend had told me about this place, the people and as someone that wants to support other black businesses i would never go back again! A lot of improvements needs to be done from management and the way the kitchen is run, the staff uniform and the approach!

Despite all the negatives i would like to give flowers to the bar staff who was absolutely brilliant and tried everything to make the Birthday girl...

I wouldn’t step my foot in this place again after going for a friends birthday and the food waslate on coming, staff from kitchen wasn’t very pleasant, seemed very disorganised despite. Food wasnt up to standard considdring it was late! Very concerned with their waiter/waitress, the way there were dressed was not of someone working in a food place & the fact that they smelt of weed did not help. After travelling to celebrate with my friend im dissapointed with this service & i wouldnt come to this place again.
