Booked in through the website to have late lunch Saturday (16:30pm), and had high expectations.

We walked through the easy open pristine glass doors, and were greeted with a cacophony of noise. Women screeching, music đŸŽ¶ louder to drown them out and a nice general pub 'hubub' that you normally get.

I asked one of the staff where we were sat, it seems right next to the screeching women. We moved ourselves straight away, but the staff member seemed confused why the precious bar table was not good and why we chose the resteraunt end to sit in... We couldn't actually have a conversation at the first table it was that loud..

When walking through the place there was enough room, but limited if you had any mobility issues. Sound immediately dropped to a normal level at the far end thankfully, and once sat we could then start to look at choices to what we came to have... Food!

I came for the vegan menu [all bar one nachos with chilli non carne + the plant based burger beyond meat ] and my partner joined me in non vegan meal [bacon and cheese burger]. We both had a hot drink, soy latte + hot chocolate (came with smarties which I gave to my partner as I'm lactose intolerant), everything was perfect.

Customer service: could do with listening to customers and realising that people who want to eat like to do so with other diners away from blasting music. Attentive and orders taken accurately, happy and cheerful approach.

Food: Tasty and great, easy to eat and very filling!

Advice for bookers ~ stipulate in notes if you want to be sat in a quiet area in...

Went in for brunch with friends. The server asked for drinks and put that through and brought out the drinks very slowly, to the point where we had to call the server again after 30 minutes to ask to take our food order! The food came quick after ordering though, and we got food after an hour from being sat down.

We saw the £17 for 2 brunches deal and thought we could distribute between ourselves, with one person left out because it wouldn’t be worth it as their dish was less than £8.50. When ordering, we made this clear to the server and they said it would be doable.

When I got up to pay, I said I wanted to pair with somebody to get the deal and the server put my veggie breakfast with the one person who had their dish at less than £8.50! I said that it wasn’t worth it for the other person and asked why couldn’t they have put me with another full breakfast. They said this would be the cheapest other meal to put me with, as there was another full breakfast with a side. I decided to just cancel the deal as it was more effort than it was worth requesting to pair up with a more ‘expensive’ full breakfast (it wasn’t like I was just going to pay for someone else’s brunch anyway, I would’ve paid and chased it up with them, and I made this clear with the server who was sorting out our payments
)

If I could give zero stars I would, very disappointing experience. I took my parents here, we all ordered the traditional breakfast. When it came all of our food was freezing cold. My mother and I had buttered our toast before realising the food was cold, and I had cut a small part of one sausage off to taste it. When we reported the food being cold it was taken away and we were told we would have fresh meals cooked.10 minutes later the meals came back. The food had clearly been reheated in the microwave as the scrambled eggs were now rubbery and the same sausage I had cut the end off was on one of the plates. Bizarrely the toast was still cold and 2 lots were buttered but had been turned upside down, clearly this was the same toast!! On raising this it was admitted that it was the same food reheated. Ruined our meal and didn’t taste that great after the reheating and still cold toast! Also hygiene issues here as the toast was on different plates to those that had buttered it so who knows what the staff were thinking here. Outrageously bad, I would never eat here again and would not recommend it. I just wonder what other dodgy practices go on in...

Low score for what is a very silly mistake in my opinion by the staff. There is a good lunch time deal offered and shown in the picture, but when ordering today (2-Jun), I was informed they couldn’t honour the Amstel. This would have been no problem, but under no circumstances were the staff prepared to offer one of the other lager alternatives in the meal deal which I found unbelievable. I don’t drink wine really so was left with soft drink as the option or an overly priced lunch. So the meal deal was not honoured no matter which way we discussed this. Being Too far invested in the menu and the time of day, we ordered food and a soft drink (the wife has wine). The food was tasty and overall the bar was quite nice but I was left with such a bitter taste for the short sightedness of those staff available and handling the situation.

Food and drinks were very nice, staff who served the food and drinks were very nice. However when we walked in we weren’t sure if we had to wait to be served or just go up to bar. We went up to the bar and asked if we just sit down or wait, the man who I assume was the manager in a rude tone said “it’s a bar you just go sit down” as if we asked a stupid question. We ordered a cocktail and pint and the cocktail looked very nice but the pint I believe was made by him was flat, however I felt too uncomfortable to ask for another due to his rude tone. I would go back again provided he wasn’t there.
