I believe I had the first birthday celebration at border clash restaurant and bar in Kettering. So a first for both Aaron and Katie. I can truly say they were very attentive. Took the time to help me plan and prepare my special occasion. Very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. There was 23 of us including children and they made us feel as though we were the only ones dining at the venue. Their hospitality was amazing, the waiting staff were so friendly and helpful. Especially “ Sam🥰 “ who could see I was very overwhelmed, and did everything to put my mind at ease. He was at our beck and call throughout the evening. The kitchen staff were awesome. Food was excellent; given the fact that this was a private catered party on a Saturday evening , prime time dining. 🥹 Everyone , just want to say a massive thank you to you all. For making my special birthday so very happy and memorable 🥰🎉🥳👍

Came here recently and loved it. There are a few things that I personally think could be improved, but nonetheless we had a fantastic meal. I would argue that currently it isn't really a fusion restaurant. It's simply a place that serves both Jamaican and Thai food. This can be seen most with the signature dish of jerk chicken and pad Thai, which sort of go together but are generally just sat on opposite sides of the plate. I also felt that £22 for this was extortionate. But it was tasty. The only real fusion dish is the fish. But I must say that this was genuinely delicious. I loved every spicy mouthful and would come back just for this dish. The rum punch was excellent too. The restaurant would definitely benefit from some sound insulation upstairs, it got very loud. I was super excited to see this restaurant open in Kettering, and it definitely didn't disappoint!

Pros: they gave us table on Friday night without pre booking. Cons: everything else .... I was so excited when this place opened... What a disappointment... Don't understand good reviews... Must be family and friends... Or we were just very unlucky... Or we are every picky eaters (which I do not think that we are) ... Very small portions for ridiculous prices .... Meat was chewy... Potatoes hard ... Microwave cooked rice ... I am giving 2 stars only for staff being lovely and service being fast. We ate all because we were starving. £49 for 2 small portions and 2 glasses of wine (don't think this is too expensive if you get a good food ....which we didn't.... What a shame)
