I’m worried about the black particles I found in my iced matcha latte. Upon taking the first sip I thought it tasted nothing like matcha but more like cardamom. Because it was served in a hot drinks cup, I opened the lid to inspect it. The colour was very pale and it had three black particles floating on the top. Because matcha is supposed to be made with green matcha powder and I know what clumps of matcha powder look like (not that there should’ve been clumps anyway) I know they weren’t from matcha powder. I’m not sure what they were, I threw away the drink but wish I took a picture before I did. I really want to support local businesses but unfortunately Starbucks has the best iced matcha in Bristol.
