Came at 7:30pm on Saturday night and was absolutely rammed, drive thru was packed but we still got our food and easily seated within 10 mins. Food was delicious, burger was nice and juicy and fries were crispy and fluffy on the inside, milkshakes nice as always. Yes it is expensive, burgers are £10 each for a double or £8 for a single, fries start from £4, milkshakes £6, so our order was £33 for two of us. My advice is to buy 1 little fries to share for two people, with the extra portion they throw in the bag it’s more than enough for 2 people. You get what you pay for, if you want cheaper food then go to McDonalds or Burger King and get a sorry excuse of a burger with frozen beef, personally I’d rather pay a premium and have a fresh burger, cooked in front of you and made with fresh local ingredients, there’s no comparison. People don’t complain when they go to a pub and pay £10 for a frozen pub burger, this is obviously something you’d have now and again as a treat and I’m glad we finally have one in Hull. Only criticism was that it was pretty loud and couldn’t hear the orders being called out but maybe that’s because it was busy.

If I could give a 0 star review, I would! I went to Five Guys with my brother to see what the hype was all about and I can honestly say I won’t be returning. After eating more than half of the burger and taking a quick look at it, I noticed that the meat was raw and wasn’t cooked at all on the inside. I have felt violently sick since eating this and have tried on numerous occasions to complain about this and call them but there has been no answer and has been extremely difficult in trying to get through to someone!

Absolutely impeccable service, staff are very helpful and funny. A member that stuck out was Robert, he had a warmth to him, was chatty and we left the drive through with a smile. Answered the question, I had about how they made the food aswell. A perfect example of customer service and knowledge. Thank you for the wonderful experience, will be back indefinitely.

Burger, fries and milkshake will set you back over £20 per person. Cheeseburger (£10) was good (similar quality and taste to Wendy's Dave's double), the medium fries (c£5) were excellent, and the chocolate milkshake (c£6) was poor, as it has that typical American synthetic / overly sweet taste to it.

We went through the drive thru, service was friendly and welcoming, with two lanes manned by multiple staff, simultaneously taking orders on tablets. The problem with this approach is that orders came out in a different order from the queued cars, so we received our food before the cars in front and had to wait quite a while for them to clear before we could leave. This meant the food was nearly cold by the time we got to eat it.

So overall, it's tasty junk food, but the prices are crazy, truly crazy. It's at least 50% more than Wendy's, with no discernable difference (to me), and 100% more than McDonald's. Just take that in for a moment... If you're treating yourself to some junk food then you can have 2x Five Guy's meals, or 5x McDonald's guy's...

Visited the drive-thru yesterday evening and was really impressed.

The lady who took my order was polite and friendly. I waited around five minutes for the food – during which time my 6-month-old son decided to absolutely lose the plot in the back seat.

She came out, clearly noticed the chaos, and said she felt bad that he was screaming while I was waiting. I told her it wasn’t her fault and that the food wasn’t taking long at all — but she insisted and brought out a free milkshake as a kind gesture.

To be clear, they didn’t need to apologise — the wait was perfectly reasonable — but the fact she picked up on the situation and went out of her way to help just shows how on the ball she was. Even with complications on the radio (someone seemed to be jumping in with unrelated messages), she handled everything like a pro.

Great food, brilliant service — really appreciated the thought.

Thanks again, Five...
