Jasmine Oriental Fusion — Restaurant in Great Britain

Firstly I do not carry cash and jasmine do not take cards. I sold a computer monitor today so had some cash so we decided to give jasmine a try.

Starters - chicken satay skewers and salt and chillie chicken wings…. First issue… chicken wings served and going cold whilst waiting for the other starter to arrive 5 mutes later… the satay sauce at best could be described as warmed up peanut butter - the chicken wings were fine

Main courses - special fried rice and sizzling lamb with peppers and black bean sauce and noodles

Special fried rice was tasteless

Noodles were served a few minutes after the mains but were as good as noodles should be

The lamb - tasteless.. you would have no idea it was lamb and barely cooked.. pepper and black bean sauce was watery and virtually tasteless.. the lamb was cooked but pale and tasteless

With a lemonade and couple of bottles of peroni the bill was just Over £61…. Personal opinion - way over the top for what we got. What can I say ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I have a garlic allergy, so going out for a meal is problematic, and usually, the only options I am faced with are very limited. Even from the first interaction over email, they were very understanding and accommodating. Arriving there, the chef came out and basically said, "I will make whatever you want on the menu fresh, no garlic." Seriously, I can't remember when I had a full menu selection and not have to worry. The food was exquisite, piping hot and delicious. I had the chance to try food I have always been told I couldn't have. From the heart, thank you for this beautiful meal. With the added bonus of the staff who were friendly, polite, and extremely attentive. I highly, highly recommend this...

We wanted to eat at 8 but were told it was too busy and had to come earlier. But when we got there it was dead! Food was pretty good. My daughter wanted to swap one of the meals on the set menu for one of equal value and initially they tried to charge us extra. They only removed it when we complained. The wine was the worst ever. No pinot or prosecco by the glass (which makes no sense as there is more profit in it by the glass than by the bottle) and the house white was like vinegar - absolutely vile.
