On a sunny day you’ll spot lots of sun-seekers on the benches outside, and despite the constant traffic it’s become a popular spot. Inside, the look is contemporary and comfortable.
The taps are dedicated to local breweries and the philosophy seems to be promoting local craft names, such as Beak, Burning Sky, Abyss, Only With Love, whilst also getting beers in from other well known UK brewers. There’s no cask but they do have a few still cider boxes from Ascension available as well.
It’s clear that the bar aspires to be not just a tap room but a community hub. You can find quiz nights, DJs, artist launch events, book club meets, Eurovision events, local producer table top sales, live sport and more.

Read moreI had my son’s first birthday party here this weekend. It was a great experience from start to finish, Jon was really helpful and accommodating, replied to emails really quickly and was happy for us to arrange food in the venue as well as arriving early to decorate. Jon is a really lovely person and he made us all laugh and feel very comfortable. The venue is great and had everything we needed. I hadn’t been to the taproom before but I will definitely go back, maybe just to chat to Jon! He’s got a great knowledge of the local community 😂 Highly recommend. Thank you so much Jon - we had...

They let us put up decorations before the party, bring our own nibbles and put on a playlist. They had a really fun attitude which also helped the party atmosphere. Highly recommend for a small to medium gathering and the minimum bar spend was very reasonable. Thank you for a...
