Love this Park! A huge favourite when in the area. Small but perfectly formed and with a lovely tiny cafe for essentials such a tea, coffee, cake and ice creams.

Lovely little park. Stopped off for a coffee and cake at the little kiosk ♡. Plenty of benches, a dog-free area, children's play area and tennis courts ♡

Great for kids. Has tennis courts and a tea shop. Big trees and a clock tower complete the amenities.

We love Blakers, it's a wonderful green space with fantastic views over the city as well as a newly refitted playground which the children love. There are facilities for toddlers right through to older kids so it keeps them entertained with a very large sandpit they enjoy digging and building with.

The friends of Blakers park also recently raised funds to plant further trees which will add to the biodiversity and character of the park. The tennis courts have been resurfaced however they now appear to be locked, which is a shame for those who want to have a go. I assume there is a group you need to join.

Above the playground is a gated dog-free zone with a single picnic bench. The top area of the park seems popular with dog walkers. There is rarely dog mess up there which is good.

Next door is the Cleveland pub too which is a great venue for a drink or food if you're visiting.

There are a couple of issues, one is the toilet facilities are rarely open which is difficult when you have little ones.

The playground is sometimes damaged and can take a while to repair.

It also gets very busy in term times after school if it's a nice day, which is great if you like to socialise, but it would be pretty overwhelming for anyone whose kids find that hard.

Overall great park with good views and an excellent playground. Well...

A beautiful open space that's rather secret actually. You'd be surprised how many locals don't realise it's here. So perhaps I shouldn't tell everyone how wonderful it is... oh, go on then. Make sure you pay a visit when it's snowed. It's the number one destination for competitive sledgers. You've never seen so many grown up men regressing to their childhood whilst speeding down the hill on a wooden sledge, plastic tray or whatever flat item they can lay their hands on. The park is supported and protected by the most wonderful Friends of...

We have lived over the road from Blakers Park for 10 years now and it's a firm part of my kid's childhoods. There is a lot packed in to its small size, with a well equipped and quite well maintained playground, tennis courts and nice lawns. There are sea views from the top and a pretty clock tower.

It's a real local park with kids spilling into it from the local schools at 3pm.

The cafe opening times are...
