From sitting down to placing order...I felt I was rushed... Meaning I didn't have enough time to look at the menu before staff came over twice asking if we ready with the second time the waiter stood there. Because of this I felt rushed to order. On the first time we ordered drinks...Two mango Rubicon and . have never had the drink already poured out into a glass for me. I have always been given a can and a glass ...Doing this I can check myself if the drinks expiry... We eventually placed a order when waiter came with our drinks asking if we were ready (which we wasn't) The parmo, we were asked if we wanted salad? Then coleslaw with the meal... We said everything as it comes (standard) Wasn't until we got the bill had we realised we were charged for the coleslaw. Think you need to let customers know if this is a extra cost...If it is it shouldn't be mentioned/ forced ... As from a customers point if view it looks like it's included. Parmesan are good. Caribbean waka waka chicken tasted nothing of Caribbean flavours but like a creamy mushroom type sauce...Didn't enjoy the sauce to my liking however you are very generous with the chicken. Chicken wings, wasn't keen on the sauce...Menu needs better description as the waiter recommended original and it was a hot sauce ...As a first time customer I don't know what manjaros original sauce is. overall i felt rushed and wanted to leave Wouldn't go back to this branch in particular. Having driven 75 minutes to...

Placed an order at 17.20 and 3 hours later it still hasn’t arrived. I’ve tried calling them repeatedly after 2 hours, being on hold for 10 minutes on some occasions and there is no answer. This has happened before around a month ago, however Manjaros explained that someone should have told us ‘’there was a 3 hour wait’’ - they didn’t, however we gave them the benefit of the doubt as we order from there most weeks. I’ve prepaid for the food so I’m left in limbo, with no one answering the phones and sometimes picking up and putting straight back down. I will not be using this place again!

UPDATE.

It is now over 3 hours later; the food has arrived and has alsorts missing. No chips with either main course, there is a random bag of chicken nuggets and the food is cold. The prawn-rice starter tasted overly fishy and the rice was rock hard. The lamb main was so tough and again, venturing on being cold. The cheese halloumi fries starter are basically frozen from Iceland I suspect and arrived with missing dips. I rang to complain but getting through to them is near impossible. I would urge anyone thinking of ordering from here to consider other eateries. I’m left fuming and 30 quid out of pocket. Won’t be...

Just went to enjoy a birthday meal with my family, my other half and kids (11y/o, 6y/o and 1y/o). Half way through the meal a group of what seemed like intoxicated males walked up the stairs being extremely rowdy and some without even a t shirt on. I’m absolutely mortified especially at the explicit language coming out of their mouths. Some staff did apologise and urged me to speak with a manager, I’ve went down to speak with a manager all she did was gave a stern look like I’d done something wrong for complaining, spoke over me and said she told them to quiet down but they’ve booked. Like booking made them a priority or something, working in the same industry regardless of if a party had booked previously I would not dream of allowing that type of behaviour to happen where there is already paying customers. The upstairs room we were sat in was fully occupied within 10 minutes every table was empty with customers requesting to be moved immediately or simply cutting their stay short like ourselves. Really expected more from the manager to be honest, fair to say we won’t be returning to this branch. Appalled at the lack of service from...

I recently visited Manjaros Middlesbrough for family dinner. The food was below average, I ordered lamb chops with mushrooms but it was to hard and mostly bones. Soft drinks are supplied in glass bottles (small). My son ordered start (prawn) but it had mostly salad and small piece of prawn. With main we had only one side and they didn't served the second side and when I asked they rudly told us that "we only serve one side with main order" mostly of the sauce bottles on the table were less than quarter or nearly finished but nobody bothered to refill them. Restroom are soo dirty and unclean and my partner had same opinion about ladies Restroom. The food was served late and it was very expensive as compare to the quality. Staff is unfriendly and rude (no trained for the restaurant business). Avoid it to save your money and time.

This place used to be our go to place for Caribbean food. However, on the last two occasions I have been very disappointed with the food. It's the Manjaros sauce that gets people flocking to their restaurants and this is where the problem lies. The taste of the sauce has changed!!! Yes I've said it! It seems that the restaurant has over the years built quite a customer base and now seems to be downing tools whilst leaving the trainees in charge of preparing their signature sauce. I for one have been bringing my family to this restaurant for many years, even before it became Manjaros, but now I'm thinking of bypassing it for the likes of Nando's or Peri Peri Original.
