Group of 4, 1st visit and was thoroughly impressed with the price and facilities. We tried our luck at a walk in booking for axe throwing and got an earlier slot than the website had which was awesome.

The price was great for the time we had (roughly an hour) but they were not in a rush for us to finish so could have stayed much longer.

Bar was next to the axe throwing area and we were allowed to drink and had a laugh with the staff.

The staff were all extremely helpful and introduced us to the axe throwing area. We were hosted by Jamie who showed us the ropes and the set up and gave plenty of tips and advice. His patience with semi drunk lads on a birthday outing was very impressive!

The games were on an interactive projection over a board with a selection of different style point scoring or themed games.

We stuck to the standard as the others seemed a bit advanced for our shoddy aim.

All in all a great place for a small group and would definitely go back to...

If you’re visiting Hereford you have to pay a visit to Matrix for some axe throwing. My other half had always wanted to try it so we did! Jamie was great when we came in asking how to book, he was really friendly and helpful advising us to book online and check out some of the bundle offers etc. We we returned the next day, Ali got us set up with the Axe throwing, helping us with some hints and tips on hitting the target and was just friendly and chatty. We also had a go at the mini golf, which was fun (could do with some more interesting obstacles though) The whole place was a lot of fun, and not ridiculously over priced. They had a good selection of drinks and some food, the little arcade had some great games including the 2p slot sliders!

It was just an all round great experience (so great in fact we went back the next day to do some MORE axe throwing - yeah, the other half REALLY...

Saw all the good reviews from a year or so back, so decided to check it out with a mate who's local. The desk staff were friendly, but I noticed the axe board has been replaced from the previous images with a cheaper backing, then the guy who gave us the initiation decided to come back and be incredibly overbearing and insisting we did it the way that he liked. When we said we didn't really mind about being bad, he stormed off in a huff while loudly complaining about us to another member of staff. I don't really care about over rotation, but I do care about having someone going beyond their job role to try and make us competitive when it's a light hearted flash game. We left after a single round. Considering an actual axe and a plank of wood is the same price as a half hour session, I don't think...
