McDonald's — Restaurant in Great Britain

A very honest review, I visited this place quite a lot (the men’s toilets stink terrible and are not cleaned often enough against the volume of people which would naturally make it smell so that’s just poor hygiene and bad management).

I have noted the reviews on service speed, they are slow to serve and focus too much on the drive through leaving people waiting for long periods…

My personal horrible experience by a staff member who had no right to speak to anyone how she did, least of all a regular customer.

We are not long past Covid, when I visit the tables are often filthy yet they do have cleaners who seem to think chatting and hanging around is their job and not cleaning tables between sittings, if the toilets stink then it’s understandable why the tables are filthy.

But

I was sat minding my own business, whilst a cleaning lady came up to me asking me to give up the table I was on ? Saying I’d been there hours (I had not I got into the place just before 11 for breakfast and was going to order lunch as I worked.

I said well I’m ordering lunch and working, she became aggressive and raised her voice at me? “It’s time you moved” I then said are you saying If I buy food I can’t sit here “no!”

I left bit before I did I spoke with a manager who could not care less.

It’s one thing asking someone politely to make space but snapping in a horrible tone is not acceptable. There is no sign that says you cannot have breakfast and lunch here, there is no sign that says limited time to a table (this woman was just plain rude and abusive ! she also held no senior capacity to bully me into leaving as far as I saw she just cleans, she’s not a manager).

If she actually did her job (cleaning a table) I wouldn’t have had to clean the filth off it before I sat there myself… where was she then, telling someone else off for eating slow or chewing too loud?

Just a nasty overbearing bully of a person with no communication skills who has no right to order any customers around, I will not return.

I did call McDonald’s head office who assured me I was right and she was not in a position to do that, nor should she.

Every time I visit the Ripley branch of Mcd's I always have something that causes an issue. This time,being a strict vegetarian,Mcds do an offer whereby,if you keep ya receipt you can have a big Mac n fries,or a veggie equivalent for £1:99. Usually I have a fillet of fish with fries,for the offer. I've done this in all mcds I've stopped at. And no probs at all. But ya visit Ripley and usually the younger staff,have no idea that there's a veggie option,and they say,"Sorry,this offers only for big Mac n fries". Which it isn't. To the staff at Ripley,look on the Mcds website it says there's a veggie option. It shouldn't matter which veggie option ya have. As there's never much choice for veggies ever,in a Mcds. So to any manager of any store. Please realise and respect that,there tonsa choice for meat eaters,so don't give veggies a hard time,as I speak my mind. And I always ring head office to complain which branch hasn'ta clue about the veggie option. I wanted the veggie deluxe at Ripley,Derbyshire branch,and the bloody girl at the counter needs sacking customer care she defo don't have a clue about. I will lose my temper next time I don't get my veggie option. I'm the nicest guy if ya knew me,but when staff don't have a clue and don't talk to the paying customers correctly,then beware as I will take the matter further to HEAD OFFICE. and give the name of the individual. Just remember How you'd react being spoke to yourselves..you might realise...

I've been here many times, but the last time broke the camels back. I was finishing night shift on early sat morning, they kept me waiting by the order station for ages while another car drove onto the adjacent order point. Then they told that car to go around almost straight away! So now I had to wait for those M/F to order and be served before they let me take my money. Only thing I could do was reduce my order to my other half's and they seem surprised I only wanted to place a single order for nuggets. Did complain to the franchise as if it was possible to just leave before placing a order in these cases so I didn't give them my money, they just gave the bullshite answer of how long it takes to cook nuggets (which makes me wonder how did they know my order before placing - that should have made them quicker!)...... and not to complain to the franchise as it makes HIM look bad; was promised free nuggets next time but I'll never go back to...
