Beef tartare Well designed presentation egg yolk providing creaminess, horseradish providing a good kick beef was slightly towards the leaner side but quite flavourful, each bite was so enjoyable. Such a beautiful balance overall

Pollock Crudo White balsamic bringing a light tanginess, helps actually amplify the freshness of the fish, raisins and nuts making a good combo in the dish. Presentation wasn't "striking"(if you're all about looks, which I hope you aren't), but nothing is going to stop this from being a 10/10 in the summer.

Confit duck leg. I still wonder why they only charge 11.5 coz it was majestic. Duck bursting with juices and flavour, buttered cabbage and pancetta can't go wrong. Good balance of the whole dish and was gone within 1 minute

Grilled ox tongue Smelled so good from a mile away. This looks dry but god it was so good. Tender, Beefy... never thought it would go so good with creme fraiche, parsley salad was a good palate cleanser after every bite.

Chips Classic …Triple cooked… end of story Gone within 2 minutes, bit longer coz it was scorching hot when it got to the table.

Dessert Bare Bones Choc Blancmange You'd die for this... literally. Dense creamy chocolately, topped with a creamy malt cream to add to the texture, and a salted honeycomb to compliment the flavour and maintain a good balance on the palette. Striking performance to end the meal on a hight note.

Service Tapas style small plates, but even when they say its a wee portion, it was so filling even after 4 plates. Kind, attentive, always with a warm smile. Perfect execution, timely yet not rushed. And it was around 25pp for us to be absolutely stuffed... Very...

Tried to get in for dinner but left it too late so decided to go for lunch. Menu consists of small/medium sized dishes designed to share. Surprisingly good and quirky selection of wine by the glass as well which was a bonus. We weren’t overly hungry so went for 4 dishes between the two of us, sourdough, devilled eggs, braised leeks and the grilled chicken sigh. Then we saw the neighbouring table order the chips which looked very nice so added that and was not disappointed. Sourdough was full of flavour and paired with whipped butter with freshly cracked peppercorns, recommend reserving some bread to mop up the sauces from other dishes. Devilled eggs were very tasty with savoury curry powder balanced with raisins and coriander. Leeks were cooked to retain its shape and some crunch paired with a generous serving of boudin noir (blood sausage) with tiny cubes of apple brought together with watercress sauce. In my opinion they could have gone a bit easier on the boudin noir and more leek. Chicken thigh was much smaller than I thought with great balance of skin, rendered fat and sweet meat. Beautifully paired with earthy artichokes and artichoke purée, butter sauce was divine and safe to say the remaining bread did not survive this dish. Wine we chose was the French Grenache Viognier which we enjoyed very much with its fresh zesty finish. To end the meal we ordered coffees and could not resist ordering the pineapple carpaccio which was refreshing great with the coconut ice cream. Overall very happy with the dishes, wine, coffee and service. Scores very highly on the value for money...

The perfect dining experience! This was our second visit to Ox & Finch (the first in pre-Covid times) and it was just as we remembered it; outstanding from start to finish! Every single dish we ordered was exceptional; you can tell that every dish has been thought through diligently and utilises the best ingredients with outstanding care to detail. The recommendations from their excellent staff were amazing even though one recommended dish was out of my comfort zone it was perfectly balanced and tasted sublime - so thank you for making the recommendation. I doubt there is a better restaurant in the UK let alone Glasgow which compares with the experience and food at Ox & Finch - this is not hyperbole on my part, I have dined in everything from casual establishments to Michelin starred restaurants across the world and I, personally, think this is the best restaurant I've ever eaten in - I only wish I lived closer so I could do so more regularly. The range of dishes allows for any and all palettes to be satisfied, we ordered a number of dishes (some pictured) and they all complemented each other; thanks to the recommendations. The staff are very attentive without being overbearing and on this particular visit they went above and beyond which was very much unexpected but very much appreciated. They engage when you wish to and leave you to enjoy in the perfect balance. I cannot recommend them highly enough, whether a local or on a visit to Glasgow make sure you book in for the perfect dining experience...
