Panuozzos — Restaurant in Great Britain

Very mixed experience. Short staffed so a very long wait for food. The tiniest prawn starter we have ever seen, 3 prawns, half a slice of bread and few halved cherry tomatoes!!! When we asked if that was the correct sized portion, we were told that 'it's just meant to be a taster' The other starters we had, arrancini and belly pork, were really big portions and definitely worth the money. Pizza and seafood risotto were lovely. Carbonara and Panuozzos were tasty but quite dry. The salad leaves hadn't been washed so were gritty and inedible. We were able to order a main course belly pork but after about a half hour wait for mains were told there was none left and had to wait another 20 mins for all mains to arrive. Cocktails didn't taste like they had a lot of alcohol in them. Ladies toilets not particularly pleasant and piled high with several high chairs, you also had to navigate around a couple of beer kegs to get in to it. We weren't the only ones complaining about the wait tonight amd maybe we caught them on a bad night. We were given a free round of drinks to make up for the main not being available which was a nice gesture. Overall, pretty underwhelming and...

Visited last night around 5.30pm, overall the experience was good, some of the food was unbelievable but also a few bits to improve on. For Boro best Italian we have been to yet!

The good • Friendly waiter & waitress • Italian Chicken Panouzzo was delicious & v fresh, full of flavour and chicken juicy • The Big meat pizza was v good overall • Garlic dip was unreal • Amazing handcut homemade chips • Good price for a Blood orange gin & nice garnish • best sun dried tomatoes we have ever eaten, v juicy and fresh

Areas to improve • Garlic bread with tomato, had no real flavour of garlic & the tomato sauce was average. • There was a small paper piece of paper with bar code on it found in my GF’s Panouzzo. (Doesn’t take away from the great taste but reckless). • Food takes a fairly long time to come out, we were one of 3 tables, 2 had been served and the table took around 30-35 minutes, and still there was a few hiccups. • no honey dressing on the The big meat pizza • Wrong Panouzzo brought to table due to an error. Despite ourselves (3 people ) been the only people in the restaurant and two other couples sat outside, the delivery of food was extremely poor. the meals were not served together and also offered the wrong meal brought to the table, one of our party ordered a side of truffle chips to accompany the chicken parmo, after asking three times they eventually arrived 20 minutes after the parmo, and they were tasteless. the bruschetta starter was tasty but was a very small portion. the side order of chunky chips was the best part of the meal. the Italian Panuozzos was burnt along one side (charcoal crumbs ) overall a very disappointed experience. the waitress was apologetic but the other staff (chefs didn't appear interested) RESPONSE TO YOUR REPLY THANK YOU for finding the time to reply to my review, which I find is not a true reflection of our experience, and your timings you stated were incorrect. It is a bit concerning a kitchen mix up with only so few customers. I am well aware of the Panuozzos but it wasn’t just speckled it was charcoal burnt along one side .I hope other customers have a better experience...
