I ordered via Uber eat as I’m staying at the Travelodge at Picadilly as I was unwell. I ordered In and what an incredibly bad meal and disappointment with a tip included. I paid over £30 for two courses. I could’ve paid less at the Ivy in town, and what I got was cold or tepid food. The jalapeño poppers to be fair were not greasy, and I suppose that one point had been cooked well they did not taste of old fat, but they were cold and I paid close to £8 for those. Keep in mind the medium size, thin crust pizza did not look like the advert it was overcooked they There, but it was pretty much welded to thin base. The mushrooms were thin and welded in the pastry was incredibly hard to chew and had Of cold fat it was a disgusting offering. I called the shop and they offered to discount me next time I ordered. I pointed out. I was in a Travelodge and I wasn’t likely to order again, but I would accept a discount on that meal which they refused incredibly bad food horrible customer service they were over the estimated time slightly. He said the food left straight away while I’m telling you it was tepid And city that I know of is plenty of great food, and even the Wetherspoons downstairs I could’ve paid a third for something not inspiring but fresh and light and infinitely better. I would take notice absolutely dreadful It was a bad...
Read moreI am a frequent consumer of Papa Johns food, usually ordering several times a year. Since I moved into the radius of this particular outlet I have been very disappointed.
Frequently items I ordered will be missing from the delivery, sometimes by mistake, sometimes because they didn't have the item and decided not to mention it. I would say probably over half of the time any drink you order will not come.
At other times they send different items to what you ordered - a particular issue with their vegan offering. Sometimes by mistake, sometimes because they have run out of the vegan version and decided not to mention the substitution. So the "vegan pizza" might actually be the dairy one, or the dairy free ice cream might turn up as the dairy one.
The sting is that they do not forewarn you about missing or substituted items and afterwards there is no clear method of recompense - no refund system. You can ring and complain, they make a note, or occasionally send the missing things if they were forgotten by accident. But generally I would have to warn people away...
Read moreI have recently started having bad experiences with this store. Missing food items, complete no shows, significantly longer delivery times, and poor customer service. They also have a habit of showing the pizza as delivered on their online tracker before it’s even left the shop, leading to anxiety and confusion.
This franchise has recently started using Uber which are very unreliable. My last order never turned up- it took 3 phone calls over the course of an hour (being hung up on once!) for the store to finally admit the driver had run off with my pizza.
They promised me a refund but are now refusing. I took my complaint through the central website but they cannot make the store give a refund. They offered me a pizza voucher which is worth less than what i paid for my total order.
Take away are not cheap and are a luxury for the average hard working person, so this is such a disappointment I will not be ordering from this store ever again. A very stressful experience...
