Sokuri — Restaurant in Great Britain

This is a wonderful little place with simple, spotlessly clean interior and run by a lovely lady who does her best to make you feel welcome. The food is fresh, home-made and SO reasonably priced. If you are grabbing lunch you can easily eat for way under £10, but the best way is to sit down, relax and try a little of everything. Generous, fresh sushi, sensational hand made Japanese and Korean gyoza, small plates and sides - all priced extremely fairly. Dishes always change. Panko prawns and other fried delicacies are little over £1 each and are oh so easy just to pile on the side of a main. Speaking of which, classic Katsu curry is generous with plenty of chicken and a large will comfortably feed 2. Noodle dishes are similarly as generous, flavoursome and good. Drinks and classic desserts are available and are reasonably priced too. Our host advises that she wants to eventually expand the menu to include some Korean classics (I can't wait!). We ate from here tonight as it's my eldest daughter's birthday, and she requested this for dinner. We live about 20 minutes away, so we ordered for collection. The food was still piping hot by the time we got it home!

The food itself was absolutely delicious; excellent portion sizes for the price, really lovely flavours, lots of meat in the meat dishes (this is where a lot of restaurants will short change you, but not Sokuri!).

The staff were so friendly and the restaurant was spotlessly clean. We will 100% be eating from here again - thanks to all at Sokuri for making my daughter's birthday...

I have had the Chicken Katsu Curry from here only twice but those two times were just phenomenal. The sticky rice gorgeous and the sauce is to die for.

The proprietor was kind and receptive and just made incredible food. I will have to get the recipe for the sauce!

I will be going here more often, I need to try more of the menu! I didn't get the name of the gentlemen who served me but thank you!

And the cleaner was doing a great job too. I have been a cleaner in my time, it's hard graft but the place...
