KFC Southend - High St — Restaurant in Great Britain

Haven’t been to this particular KFC for years! We ordered our food from the touch screen stations. I wanted to know whether the popcorn chicken had egg in it as my daughter has an egg allergy. However when I clicked in the ‘i’ icon for alleged information it told me to scan a QR code so I had to look online. Why?! Why could the information not be on the screen. My phone didn’t want to load the site, it was telling me that the site I was trying to access was in service? Anyway I then decided to ask someone at the counter, whilst waiting I noticed a sign saying check online or ask a member of staff for allergen information. I asked the lady behind the counter does the popcorn chicken have egg in it. She stared at me blankly and said “I don’t know…” wow helpful… I decided I couldn’t risk it, luckily I bring my daughter’s food out with me but I like to get her something if I can so that she doesn’t feel ‘left out’. We then found a table, just, upstairs was shut. The table was dirty however luckily I carry antibacterial wipes with me. We had both ordered a filet tower box meal, only to find that one of them didn’t contain a hash brown! I asked the guy at the desk if I could have a hash brown for the tower burger that I had ordered. Instead of just giving me a hash brown he requested my burger back. I then had to empty the chips out of the other half of the box to hand him back my burger, he took it, put a hash brown in and handed me the same burger back (I know because I’d taken a bite out of it) why he couldn’t have just given me a had brown I don’t know. I wasn’t asking for a whole new burger. I would not recommend this KFC. I’ve only given two stars because I do like the food. Customer service terrible, trying to find allergen info, ridiculous!! Do not go here, it's a nightmare, first off once you finish ordering your food you will find an immovable wall of people blocking your view to the collection area making it almost near impossible to see when your food is ready.

Secondly tables are so unclean it's revolting can't find a seat without having to move a mountain of rubbish.

Finally, Staff are so incompetent and moronic and Disorganised, not wearing masks, wouldn't surprise me of they didn't wash their hands, allowing for this wall of customers to just stand there in the way of the counter grabbing food as they please without checking numbers, and when my food came she didn't bother calling out any number, and just handed off my food to one of the customers blocking everyone, not even wearing a mask I might add, just looked around and gave it away without even talking to the customer like she didn't care, I then had to ask for my food again from this lobotomite working the till and didn't even know my order and I had to explain every item on the order, even though I had a number to give her, she then proceeded to guess my order and still gave me the WRONG items and was even rude to my friend I was with when she did the exact same thing...

Been here 3 times and out of all 3 of them over the span of 3 months not once have they got my order right or had their receipt printer working I went approximately a week ago and ordered two meals both me and others were waiting over 15 minutes, they have no sense of queuing with orders as other people ordering less proceeded to skip the queue and get their order in a fraction of the time. I ordered sweet chilli bites (which usually are covered in sauce) however out of the 2 portions me and my girlfriend ordered only one came out with a decent amount of sauce, the other effectively had no sauce, in fact I get more out of my genitalia when I shake them. I have been to many restaurants and fast food restaurants however I’ve yet to see one that provides a worse experience than this particular KFC. Every KFC I have been to in the past has been clean, efficient and have never given me the wrong order. All above is also not including the sticky, filthy tables matched with the rubbish spread across the floor and trays left on tables.
