Professional Review
Ordered from this establishment on Saturday evening just before closing time BIG MISTAKE …..
Worst experience to date . 2 days in hospital with chemical poisoning as soon as I ate the footlong Chicken and bacon sub.
Received my order had a few bites and it tasted like chemicals. My partner tried it and agreed.
Well 10 minutes later I’m over the toilet spewing. Called the person at subway and asked if there had been any contamination and the girl on the phone admitted she had cleaned the ovens with chemical cleaner and then put my sandwich in.
She also kept pushing the point “she changed her Gloves” my opinion is she cleaned the ovens, received the order and put the sub in and prepared the sandwich with the same gloves. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she would call me back. 10 minutes went by and I received no call so I phone the restaurant and was told they can not comment further and I should go to hospital.
I then ended up in hospital with confirmed chemical poisoning with a blood pressure of 186. I was I’ll for days and my insides are in bits.
When I finally contacted the manager he didn’t seem to believe me at first. He undoubtedly carried out a thorough investigation lol !
Well In the end I was told he couldn’t see anything on CCTV and was fobbed of with a free sandwich. They put the blame on the poor über driver saying the chemicals would have been from his cool box although when reviewing my CCTV he never had it in one !
The sandwich was burnt and saturated with chemicals on the bottom as it was soggy in places so I’m 100% convinced that there is negligence here. I kept the sandwich in my fridge for a couple days whilst I dealt with the manager and it stinks of a bleach like chemical.
I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant they play with peoples lives so they can get off their shift earlier ! If I consumed the full sandwich the medical complications could of been devastating.
Big 0/10 for this place will never eat there again.
Till next time guys

Read moreService with a smile, so rare these days, but the lady gave great eye contact and showed interest, didn't look like someone annoyed to get a customer. I didn't catch her name, but she also helped me navigate the new subway app. Very happy with the service and due to her customer service skills, she gave the place a great atmosphere. Next ime will get her name to send a compliment to subway, who do follow up on positive remarks, again many companies don't let their colleagues know that their service is appreciated, subway seems to do this. Well done all involved.
Today (02/04/25) had a need for the subway. So off we went at 5 minutes before closing. Mr Harrison greeted us, and served us, chatting and making three sandwiches. In the end, he went into 10 minutes of his own time, and not a complaint. He said he had worked there 7 months and never attracted a review, well he warned this one. Great service👌🏾 maintaining the very high standard set by...
Read moreThe store refuse to serve celiac customer. Subway offer gluten free bread and the staff are not aware of national procedures for this product. Very uneducated. Product handled with no care at all. All stations covered in bread crumbs which contain gluten. The staff meant to wipe all stations down or use metal tray to prevent cross contamination. When I mentioned what they suppose to do and make it self for me the manager refuse to serve me. Very embarrassing in front of other customers being discriminated because of my health condition. Hope someone actually will read it and educate the staff what they suppose to do! ALL COELIAC PEOPLE DONT WORRY SUBWAY ON COTTINGHAM ROAD KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF CUSTOMERS AND USE...
