The Avenue — Restaurant in England

Experience based on short time on the job. First off the staff are incredible, they always have a smile on their face. Louis operating with ease and charm. Ella with her grand smile and stunning laugh. Ben's no nonsense attitude and sense of humour. Dais' smile and determination to help me. Josh and his great accent and comforting manner. They were always willing to help me when I needed them to and the owner was always fun to joke around with, having some best laughs I have ever heard. The food was wonderful every time I had it, and there was a large selection available and now with restrictions lifting you can now go to the bar to order food. Their ability to pull drinks with ease is a force to be reckoned with. The star of the show was the customer centred approach, everyone knew everyone and the locals welcomed me with open arms. The banter between staff and the customers was incredible and getting know these people was a pleasure. Despite me having to step down so early on, there is no doubt that based on my experience I will be vising this establishment as much...

Visited this pub last night with work friends for tea.. service at the bar was good. I opened a tab so that as friends arrived i could just add them. The lady that served me was friendly. The man that brought our food was brilliant. The food was lovely. When it was time to leave a couple hours later 9pm there was only one bar staff serving 2 bars..i stood for a hood 5 minutes before going to the back bar to see the only member of staff. The pub was quite busy by this time. I told the man jokingly that i could have done arunner..he didnt respond and i know he was busy but could have at least smiled. I paid my bill and stood waiting for a receipt..i wasnt offered one. He looked put out when i asked for one. The visit apart from this was great...more staff should have been on as the large bar wasnt manned for at least ten minutes that i saw. Plus there were other people...

Being told after a ten min wait just to order that they get paid minimum over minimum wage so are givingminimum effort to "US LOT" is not really the way .. Xmas eve n medium busy at 1700hrs i get understaffed well this happens ... that level of service??? ... wen food came served with smile and then swannied off took video of just how sizzling garenteed skillet was ... but can't paste on here. ... when try to tell them their just kicking doors open and no time... easier to shut ur mouth eat up n go ... return there ? Possibly... maple jersey chicken meal was nice and we'll cooked but Mexican meltdown just a let down ... like bar attendants comments the lass who dealt in end very nice .. .. end of a long day n start of our Christmas at the avenues sizz ...
