Maya Spice — Restaurant in England

I’ve been ordering takeaway from Maya since they first opened and the food is always delicious! My go to is the lamb korma and it’s so tender and soft, it melts in your mouth quite literally, along with aromatic garlic naan and pilau rice

My partner’s go to is the lamb jaipuri with a portion of chips and he loves how spicy it is. The lamb is just as tender and the red curry is a big spicy kick of flavour. He also commented on how their chips are pretty good too

We also get the mixed kebab with mint yogurt sauce and that yellow pot of gold sauce is what we crave the most! The two combined is my partner’s favourite part of the meal

Everything is made fresh for you, which means you could be waiting up to 40-60 minutes for a takeaway, however the food is still hot and it’s worth waiting for

We haven’t dined in yet just because we like the convenience of pigging out at home, however we’ve walked past Maya’s many times and it looks like a lovely restaurant where we’ll be sure to come on a proper date night...

I ordered a fish masala which was meant to be creamy with almonds. I did ask for a bit more heat than mild which they were happy to oblige. But I got a tomato based dish which was tasty but not as described on the menu. When I queried this I was told that they don’t use any nuts anymore due to the allergy risk. No explanation for not using cream so I assume just using cheaper ingredients. I was not offered any discount. The food was good but worth checking that what you order is what you are going to get first. The place was quite empty for a Saturday night. I saved on the cost of buying alcohol...

Great customer service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The food here is spot on, we can't fault anything. The Currys have a good amount of meat in them and the fish pakoras are a must, and if you haven't tried them already, then do. The delivery times are reasonable and nothing is too much trouble. We had a slight issue with a previous order and the manager instantly addressed this and to our satisfaction he put thing's right. This wasn't food related. We highly recommend Maya spice. We have tried a good few Indians in the area but this is by far the best for us both in taste and portion sizes...
