Subway — Restaurant in Great Britain

I went today and ordered two foot long, the First Lady was pleasant enough she passed the two foot longs to the next girl, who was serving the couple in-front of me, she had the same gloves on and did a cash transaction with the same gloves then proceeded to ask me what salad I would like, with the same gloves on. I asked her if she’d mind changing her gloves? Which she then responded with “but they ordered steak and cheese too… as if I was concerned about her touching meat - I said you have just handled cash with the same gloves on. She then put the salad on with new gloves, took my transaction and walked away, I took my own receipt from the till and walked out, never to return there again. When I came on here I saw there were other people who had experienced the glove issue - so if these reviews had been actioned then why would she be so stunned about my question? The fact that she was unaware of my concern is really worrying. If I was an Uber eats order. Etc id be none the wiser that these “basic” healthy and safety steps are not taking place yet I’ve to wear a mask when entering and adhering to rules yet this kind of stuff is going on, if that’s what goes on in-front of customers who knows what goes on behind the scenes. Did I enjoy the foot long? Couldn’t face it, well put off, binned it and will never return and I’ll be telling everyone else to avoid too. I wont be going back for the simple reason that youve brought in ordering on the screens as the only way to order in store. This doesnt work for subway. Asking a person to add ingredients to a baguette is a lot quicker than browsing through an already slow running screen. Don’t order a salad! I use subway a lot but the last 2 days they have been meagre. Lettuce just about covers the bottom, 5 slivers of pepper, same for the onion. About a teaspoons worth of corn and would hate to see what a ‘normal’ amount of sauce is considering I asked for extra! Chicken was light too although they did give me an extra hash brown.
