Yesterday (21.04.25) I visited your braehead branch as a first time customer, I was left less than impressed and doubt I would return. On entering the premises we were greeted by staff member asking if it was to sit on or take away? We advised a sit in so were shown to a table. The menus were on the table however we weren't advised how to order, if they'd come back and take the order, order on line or order at a specific area. After sitting for 10 mins I spotted a QR code on the table and used this method to order and pay. Other customers arrived and they were advised where to order. We patiently waited on the food arriving after receiving email confirmation of our order. The food arrived and was ok however our milkshakes didn't appear at the table. Not one of the staff asked if everything was OK, I had to ask a girl cleaning the next table to check for our milkshakes when we were halfway through eating and obviously thirsty. She advised they were getting made now and thought they had been taken to another customer previously. No apology for the delay! When they finally arrived their was no whipped cream on top of the biscoff milkshake even though I'd paid 50p extra. I queried that the cream was missing to be told their wasn't actually any available. Again no apology or offer to refund the 50p paid. Another issue was the price of the smashed angus loaded fries, these were priced £10.50 on the paper menu however online i was charged £12.50 We ate our food and left, without so much as a smile or thanks from any of the dour faced staff who clearly need some training in basic customer service. After paying £58 for two people i won't be back due to the overpricing, no offer or refund and the staff who quite frankly shouldn't be working in a...
Read moreBig Licks Brahead is often viewed negatively for several reasons, primarily due to its impact on the local community and the environment. One of the main criticisms is related to the establishment's contribution to litter and waste in the area. Many visitors tend to leave behind wrappers, containers, and other forms of trash, which can tarnish the natural beauty of the surroundings. This litter not only creates an eyesore but can also harm local wildlife and ecosystems.
Additionally, the presence of Big Licks Brahead can lead to increased traffic and congestion in the area, particularly during peak times. This influx of visitors may disrupt the daily lives of local residents, making it challenging for them to navigate their own neighborhoods. The noise levels can also rise, as large crowds often generate significant sound, further detracting from the peaceful environment that many residents cherish.
Moreover, there are concerns regarding the health implications associated with the food served at Big Licks Brahead. Critics argue that the offerings are often high in sugar and unhealthy fats, contributing to poor dietary habits among visitors. This can lead to long-term health issues, not only for individuals but also for the community as a whole, as unhealthy eating patterns become normalized. Overall, the negative aspects of Big Licks Brahead reflect broader issues related to environmental sustainability, community well-being, and...
Read moreAwful experience at Big licks tonight. Arrived and waited by the sign labelled "wait here to be seated" for several minutes but no one came, so we walked up to the counter and asked to order and was told we needed to be seated first. So we were then taken to a table and left there. Having already decided what we wanted to order, tried to get the attention of someone to take our order. We were told by passing staff that someone would be over in a few minutes, but no one came. We then grabbed the attention of the same member of staff as she passed some time later, and were given the same response that someone would be over in a few minutes. After waiting even longer, another member of staff came over and abruptly asked us for our order reference. Not knowing what she was talking about, we explained no one had taken our order in the whole time we had been there. Rather than apologise or offer any sort of explanation, we were abruptly told, "well it's only her second shift" as though it was our fault for not being patient enough. She then said someone could come over and take the order in a few minutes but by this time we had had enough and said we would leave. She then shouted "fine" and walked off. She was not wearing a name badge which is unfortunate as she deserved to be named and shamed as one of the rudest people I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. I will NEVER set foot in a big licks ever again. Poor show from...
